Keeping Robin's off cars?? A Poo Situation...

How about learn to like poop.

Have you tried spraying them with water? What if you put a sprinkler out aimed at the window of the truck?

I would choose airsoft over paintball because it is cheaper. And if you look in comparison at two hits on a person, one from a paintball, the other with an airsoft bb, you would much rather get hit by the airsoft. It wont do 1/25th of the damage a paintball gun would do.

Have you ever asked your neighbor to try shooting the bird? Pretty sure hens dont have 4 legs.

OH, I got an idea

chase it into your neighbors yard with a pile of worms on the ground. See if it lands, and if your neighbor instantly runs out and shoots it.

Oh, wait, he probably would have shot the worms by then.

Yes, I put a sprinkler out the other day. The robins just moved to an area where not as much water was hitting. The bad thing is there are 4 trucks and only one sprinkler as well as the problem occurs sun up to sun down. Not really a good thing to have the sprinkler running that entire time. It's hard on finances and the well pump. So far the only thing I've tried to shoot them with is a bb gun with plastic pellets in it. They just take off as soon as they see people.

Not sure if you are making fun of me here or not. Kinda feels like you are. :( No, this neighbor and I are not on speaking terms.

If you're too squeamish or not a good enough shot to simply institute a campaign of edification towards the local Robin population then you could probably rig up a system of these to do the trick:

I bet that Fishfriend1 (Travis) could help you in this regard. Designing and building overly complicated systems of spraying water all over the place is right up his alley!

I am not trying to make fun of you at all. I would never try to do that. You yourself said that you were the most ungracious person, but your avatar is a zebra riding a motorcycle to out run a lioness.

If anyone, i was trying to make fun of your neighbor for shooting everything in sight. Sorry if it came out wrong.

Well, I dont know how much it would cost to buy or make, but what about some sort of net trap? I dont know what you would do after trapping the bird, because I wouldnt have the guts to just shoot it when it cant even fly away.

Other than that, I dont know what to do other than kill it somehow. Either by shooting it, or by getting it to eat something that will kill it. The second option seems harder than the first.

Maybe if you put an old towel on the hood of the truck, you could set a normal trap on the truck. Put a mirror and some worms in there and see if he takes the bait. The towel is to keep the trap from scratching the paint, or the bird from doing any more of his business on your vehicle.
