what is the min tank size for khuli loaches?
what temp is best for them, and what are some good foods??
thanx

K,I was hoping they'd be able to stay in a ten,but I wouldnt want them to be unhappy.

Kuhlis do fine in tanks down to 5 gallons. They need groups, minimum of 3 is what I have read the most. They eat anything that will sink to the bottom: bloodworms, shrimp pellets, algae wafers, you name it they eat it. Tropical temps. Provide lots of hiding places. There are different varieties of kuhlies, the biggest around 3-4 inches. But their long narrow body shape makes for very small bio-load. I have the biggest veriety of kuhlie loach and it is about 3.5 inches long and can be very entertaining the few times I actually see it.

this is the same kind my LFS has that I want, they were 2 1/2" to 3".
they were so active and playful looking :D

This may just be me but do not get them....they look playful in the tank at the store but when ya get them home they will hide and u will almost never see them.

P.S. THEY ARE STILL CRAZY CUTE!

Thats sounds like most fish dont it???

in the LFS, theres MAYBE a rock for hiding in the tanks, with umpteen fish. so yes, they look "playful". i have some Pictus that were like that. i brought them home, and they do nothing but hide!!! i of course have tons of caves etc, but the only time they come out (and its just a dart out) is to get food, otherwise they just hide.

i have had that happen plenty of times to me
