khuli loaches

IMO a 10 gallon aquarium is a little too small for kuhli loaches or cory cats.

IMO, your standards for a ten gallon are out of line. I have kept many fish, including corys, Kuhliis, Barbs, tetras, plecs, and various other fish in ten gallon tanks and have had no bio-load problem whatsoever. If you can't keep corys or kuhlii loaches in a ten, you can't keep anything in a ten.

im torn between neon tetras, dwarf gouramis, cories or khuli loaches....so far khulis are my fav.

kuhlis are great for a 10 gallon. I don't know why they would not do well. They are very small, don't need a whole lot of swimming space, and create very little bio-load. I would be way more worried about cories in a 10 gallon because unless they are pygmies they will not have much space.

I was going to get(if I could find any)either dwarf cories or pygmy,if all I have in my ten gal is one betta, how many khulies would be ok?

A ten gallon aquarium just does not provide enough room to keep a proper sized group of these fish. This has little to do with bio-load, but more to do with giving these bottom dwellers the proper amount of space.
