khuli loaches

Depends. Is all you want in the tank kuhli's and the betta?

If so it'd work.
yup,my betta stays at the top all the time...the bottom is empty and I fell in love with the kuhlies :D

IMO, your standards for a ten gallon are out of line. I have kept many fish, including corys, Kuhliis, Barbs, tetras, plecs, and various other fish in ten gallon tanks and have had no bio-load problem whatsoever. If you can't keep corys or kuhlii loaches in a ten, you can't keep anything in a ten.
Just because you have "kept" them in a 10 gallon does not mean that it is optimal to do so.

HD3 has posted great info for this fish. Something else would be better for your 10 gallon with your betta. Just because you like a fish doesn't mean you should keep it if you don't have adequate housing for it.

I was going to keep these(they are very young, maby an inch)in the ten until I can get either another 20 or a 30.
:)

3 Kuhlis in a 10 gallon will be fine.... did you get any? They may hide out for a while, but that's part of the fun - you get a surprise when they appear. As they are natural scavengers, you don't need to worry overly much about specific food for them. Any kind of sinknig pellet will do them. They're not fussy eaters!

Sounds like a good plan. I have some teeny eenie ones I got from an auction...maybe 11/2 when I got them!! They are so fun to watch. Be sure to give them hiding places. I have some scattered around the tank and they will dart from one to another. I find the best show is at feeding time.

I didnt get any yet,I'll probably get up there this evening,or tomorrow(I've been busy all day).
I already have sinking shrimp pellets, can you guys give me a list of foods for them before I leave?it would be very helpful.

Everyone in my tank goes nuts for those sinking shrimp pellets. They will also snack on sinking algae wafers, flake that sinks to the bottom of the tank. Veggies...zuchini, peas.

Hi,

Also remember to give them blood worms once a week or so. It's not necessary, but it's really good for them.
