Open 7 days a week, over 250 aquariums full of freshwater and marine tropical fish, as well as a section for goldfish/koi and a small indoor pond. Tanks are pretty well kept, they are clean and dead losses are low. A wide variety of tank sizes and shape as well as food selection, water conditioners, meds and equipment. They are also listed on Marineland's website as a retailer for their products. Only bones that i have to pick is its short 24 hour dead loss guarantee and their prices are just OK. Other than that, anyone in the 5 boroughs of NYC should visit this place just to check it out. Call them if theres something you can't find as they should have it in stock. Staff are knowledgable and helpful. To get there, just take number 7 train to Flushing, Queens, then a short 15 minute trip on the Q12 or Q13 towards Northern Blvd.

Excellent store. Family owned. Dont have a huge selection of plants, nor many oddballs. But if you ask, they will order what you want if they can get it. Staff is very friendly.

Cheap glass aquariums, pretty good selection of plants, fairly well informed staff that don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. But if you do need something, there's a pretty good chance these guys will have it. Oh yeah, the Oakville store has an awesome fish display, which contains a giant eel and a 3 foot shark.

I've been to this store once. Very much a Mom and Pop. Store is hole in the wall type place with stuff packed into every square foot of space. Sells some off brand of aquariums that look nice. Glossy finish, and curved glass, etc. Haven't done any business with them yet... But very small selection of fish.

Have yet to do business there (driving an hour for fish is not something my parents are interested in) but I narrowed it down out of a ton of results on the yellowpages.com. It's family owned and seems like the most promising place.
