Most knowledgeable LFS I've been to in the area. Large african cichlid section with great display tanks->1500 gallons total. Huge saltwater section with common and hard to find stock->2500 gallons. They have cheap live rock(5.99) and a great coral/invertebrate section as well. Since this store has switched ownership the service is 10 times better, the store is cleaner, and Im happier! They also specialize in custom tank design with wet/dry setups. They sell all the popular food and chemicals and they have great specials on the website. They can order almost any fish you want if they dont have it. I purchased some of my peacocks from an employees personal tank, very helpful staff.

Their website is pretty cool as well.

Hundreds of tanks salt and fresh. Best place to get live plants. Staff are hobbists, not just employees. They also custom build ponds and water gardens...the place is amazing!!!

Great selection of fish and supplies (among other animals) Staff very helpful and for the most part passionate about the fish. Also, great selection of all types of feeders: fish, mice, frozen everything, best price in capital area for crickets) They will also special order anything you want (supply wise) and sell used stuff very cheap!!

Great little store. He just switched vendors and now can get just about anything within a week. Used to have to drive 2 hours to Madison to get the special plecos but now I only have to drive about 20 minutes. :)

This place is absolutely unreal. The pictures on the site are mostly from the old store, but they just moved over the summer. The new store is 22,000 sq. ft. and I would guess fully 1/3 of it is dedicated to fish and aquarium supplies. There's a river with a water fall that runs through the store that has some good sized angels in it, very cool. They have a huge selection of saltwater fish, corals, plants, freshwater fish, and a rainbow inventory that would make RoanArt drool. I also noticed that they quarentine all new livestock. I drive 60 miles one way to buy my fish and supplies here. If you're ever in Michigan I highly suggest you check it out, but bring some serious funds because this place is EXPENSIVE.

This is a new store so hopefully they're just not in there "new" stage but the aquarium department was immaculate. Tanks were sparkling clean and no dead fish that I could see. The salesperson that helped me did tell me it was okay to triple my bioload though, add 4 fish to an existing 2.
