When you first go in you think "Oh what a small lizard store" but when you go into the back room, they have a HUGE selection of SW and FW fishes. They also have exotic birds, Lizards, Amphibians and some small mammals. The service there is great with skilled and trained employees, and if you ask for something and they dont have it, they will order it in for you. It's the best LFS in my area.

This is a wonderful place for aquarium supplies and livestock. The tanks are CLEAN and the varieties of livestock varied. They also carry a wide assortment of plants.

If you are in the Chicago area, make it a point to stop by.

I like this one. Bought Africans, South Americans from him. Very Knowledgeable and will order anything. They dont carry many of the smaller tropicals but if you want cichlids this is the place to get them here.

This place is absolutely unreal. The pictures on the site are mostly from the old store, but they just moved over the summer. The new store is 22,000 sq. ft. and I would guess fully 1/3 of it is dedicated to fish and aquarium supplies. There's a river with a water fall that runs through the store that has some good sized angels in it, very cool. They have a huge selection of saltwater fish, corals, plants, freshwater fish, and a rainbow inventory that would make RoanArt drool. I also noticed that they quarentine all new livestock. I drive 60 miles one way to buy my fish and supplies here. If you're ever in Michigan I highly suggest you check it out, but bring some serious funds because this place is EXPENSIVE.

i love preuss pets its the best ever

The most incredible aquarium store i've ever been to! Rows and rows of fish tanks with all of the incredible species that I've never seen anywhere else such as arowanas, knife fish, and lungfish. Also, reptiles (turtles lizards, etc), and crabs/shrimp/crayfish. HUGE marine section as well with hundreds of corals, fish, and other critters. Big pond section with koi, and large row of live plants. dry goods, gravel, tanks, decor, etc. are in the front. First thing you see in the fish room is a 12ft round 5,000 gallon aquarium with sharks! Every tuesday night, they have a shark feeding you can come to see. Employees are really into the hobby and are helpful.
