Nice place. The owner is pretty helpful and seems to know her stuff. Ive gotten fish, hermit crabs (land) and rats from her and all have been healthy.

Fin & Feather

Another really nice place. Theyve reduced their size by about 50% over the last year or two but still have a huge selection. Rats, fish, hermit crabs, hamster have all been healthy.

Ballouville Aquarium

Killingly, CT

I went to this place when I was first stocking my tank. Walking in the door the smell about knocked me over. Very small place with TONS of tanks, birds, small animals. You name it they sell it. Their product shelves were quite dusty and honestly I was a bit scared to buy anything there. However my husband talked me into 4 fish and they have been exceptionally healthy. Several friends have gone there and had the same experience. Once you get past the smell (it was a hot summer day - might have been that) and the dust its a shockingly nice store.

Dinky mall pet store but does take special orders, be sure to get your fish advice from Shaun, and watch for the occasional sick fish.

One of the largest aquarium/fish stores in central Florida, with a huge selection of f. and s. water fish, plus live coral, anemones, starfish; live plants, freshwater rays, and a massive amount of aquariums, both stock and custom made. Great service, knowledgeable staff, good prices and healthy fish. I have never been to a better LFS.
This is my favorite pet shop in the area. The people are pretty knowledgable, and I've been going there for years. There was only one time that their advice was questionable that I know of. They have a great selection of freshwater fish, saltwater fish and rock and critters, and all you need, they have tankbusters in their own room, they have wild stock of angel, and other cichlids and they have a bunch of killies, all sorts of stuff. Their tanks are typically clean and well cared for and the maintenance level is pretty good. They don't have a wide selection of meds and all that but their livestock selection is far and wide.

A great local "Mom and Pop" type store with a over 200 fully stocked tanks, offering a great selection! When I need something I know I can go there and get what I need. They also have everything for ponds with a gorgeous pond on display.

Boston Pets

Right across Petco on 114

A small store, they have a lot of different rainbows and rare plecos. They also ussually have some nice corys for cheap, and a couple of loaches and synos for way less than online (even when not counting shipping). Their prices on equipment are kinda high, but the staff is nice.

I've never lost a fish from there, and they also have a nice selection of reptiles and mammals. Theres lots of premiuim dog food too, and I think they do grooming stuff too.

Lovely Pets

Their store was a pain to get too, and it looked really ghetto. They had lots of fish, and the prices seemed fair. I've only been once, but half my fish ended up dying from illness and they game me bad information and sold me the wrong food. (Dwarf puffers eat pellet my ***)

Ok store, not really worth the drive forme though.
