Mafia #67 - 50/50 -- The Play

DD - have not seen that much of her. She has not done or said anything that makes me think she is mafia.

Rich - posted a lot yesterday. Not sure what that means.

Noods - very quiet. Not nood like at all. She did say she would not have time before we started.

JPap - He has been doing his usual digging but I don't think as thoroughly as usual. That could just be me though. I am leaning slightly to the mafia side.

Ice - seems to have a one way fix on LR right now. I think LR is a townie but that does not mean that Ice is mafia just that he thinks he is on to someone.

Mad - Discussing wether wanting to keep FF around if he was a mafia is a good idea and whether or not it is a scum tell. I dont know the answer to that one or not. I dont see a mafia though.

Wiz - thinks LR deliberately set up FF. Has voted for LR. I do not agree but he made a decent case for it. Not sure on him yet. So we leave him in the middle.

Lab - Gung Ho on day one. Set her teeth in the neck and never let go. Spent most of the day defending I have not seen much in the way of digging for anything. I am saying townie, could change but right now I am leaning her to the good.

JL - no clue. Seems like we have not seen as much of him as other games.

JB - I think mafia. I think he is manipulating what he quotes to get things follow his teams way, and I don't pull quotes JB, so stop asking.

Kash - no clue.

Annie - I always suspect annie. Nothing really to go on just the feeling I get from him.

FF - pushing up daisies.

Dag - spent all day defending himself and LR. Not sure what to make of it but I don't like it.

TankHobbyist - no clue.

It is funny after typing all this out seems like so many things depend on what LR is. She has been the crux of the conversations today.

I appreciate the fact that Rich posted this run-down on players. I'm having a hard time getting a good feel for who's on which side, who's in agreement or disagreement with others (so far), and so on.

As Mad tells us this 50/50 format is more about the numbers and individuals revealing their alignment in this game (either directly or in more subtle ways)... I believe it would be most helpful if other players would also post a full list of players and share comments about them.

I already did this yesterday (such as it is thus far). To review mine, just follow the clicky arrow icon below and it'll bring up that post for you again.

Howdy! Well, it is obvious now that FF sucks at playing without a team behind him, but I still thought that he was NCM; that did not pan out. I have been a bit leery of Lab (& Jpap) but not too sure where I stand now. Labby was pretty determined but does that really mean she is scum? It seems like she has taken a page from Kashta's play book and ran with it, and that play book has not always indicated that Kashta is/was scum....trying to keep an open mind for a bit so I do not get single minded...again.
Kashta and DD have both seemed to step back from the game a bit this time around (I know, me too.) and are pretty quiet, so not really sure what to think there yet. Rich on the other hand has stepped up with his posting. *gasp* OMG! All of this could only mean one thing! That Hell really has frozen over and we are all gonna die!! :nilly:

Seriously, I apologize that my head has not been in the game. I should not have agreed to play, but I did, so I need to step up and play......I will definately post my thoughts and suspicions this evening. (impossible to think my own thoughts here at work for 3 consecutive minutes !) We did lose an innocent last night but it is not too late to turn it around and win this one for the Gipper.

I agree with Noodles that it's time to step up and play.

You posted this yesterday, about 22 hours ago. However, you didn't manage to get anything posted last night. Have you not been around at all? No time for the game at all last night either? No time to share your thoughts and suspicions with us this morning either?

The 2nd nightfall of this game will be here this evening and we're still waiting for Noods take a position and post about it -- other than simply casting a Day 1 vote and disappearing again.

DD- I have absolutely no read.

Rich- I don't like how he flip flopped on Lab from yesterday to today by using the same reasoning. I also don't like his sudden turn on JB, even though I suspect him. It wasn't logical at all.

Noods- practically nonexistent. Willing to giver her the benefit of the doubt but with all the confusion she's claimed I'm still leaning towards mafia

Ice- I keep flip flopping on him. Sometimes he says something I agree with and then he starts making me wonder. I'm undecided at the moment.

Mad-he came out of left field at Ice. He also shared similar ideas with me D1 so it's hard to call him mafia right now. Probably neutral.

Wiz-he seems rather focused on Lab, which worries me. Might be creeping up the suspect list.

Lab-the last couple of games she started out the same way and ended up innocent. It's
also harder to fault her for having the same ideas that I had D1. Leaning innocent.

JL-defended FF earlier but gave up and looked for other options. Leaning innocent.

JB-scummy feeling ever since he suggested that he wanted to keep FF around even if mafia. I'm not going to stop badgering that point across though since it seems to have upset him.

Kash-not sure really. I'm not exactly following her reasoning but I'm willing to hear more of what she has to say since she's not as talkative as normal. Leaning scum for now but that's a stretch.

Annie-didn't do anything but vote FF yesterday and didn't bother to follow up on the questions he did ask...scummy.

Dag-not getting a scummy feel, but not exactly leaning innocent yet. Neutral.

TankHobbyist-no clue. Confused newb or confused mafia? Basically a guess at this point.

I didn't put a whole lot of thought into this, but it's what I'm currently thinking.

WTH? What claimed confusion? Can you please pull the posts to support this? The only confusion I stated was in regards to FF. Like no one else confused about/by him?

Suspects? It's hard to zero in on anyone in particular right now. I intended to vote Lab Rat today and still might. But since that vote can wait a while longer, I'm paying close attention to whatever else still develops, if anything. If we had to vote right now, I'd be hard pressed to choose a top suspect I'd feel confident about killing.

Lab Rat - Undecided. Actions and argumentative posts were either scummy or ill-conceived. Could easily have been intentional (if scum), as LR knew she'd gone after the player least able to defend himself in this game. When FF was killed and revealed innocent, LR reverted back to the over-used, "I meant well but just can't help myself" and "it's a character flaw I'm working on" cop-outs. Then wonders why others hold her accountable for the fact that her case-building efforts, theories, debates, and passive-aggressive posting get in the way of the town's best interests. Sure hope LR turns out to be mafia this round and isn't just an over-zealous, misguided innocent again.

Dag - Began this game with a grudge vote against FF for no other reason, which seems more mean-spirited than it should be. Looking back through Day 1 posts, I get a sense that Dag and LR's crusdade against FF was possibly coordinated as such... one voting him, the other on attack-mode and joining the vote later... with both of them making posts intended to provoke FF even further and sway townie opinion as needed to get him lynched. The best argument against the idea they were working together on this would be... this seems to be the 3rd or 4th game now where Dag continually agrees with, supports, or defends Lab Rat in these games.

Jpappy - Doesn't seem to be as objective this game as he normally is. Given that that was mostly focused on FF and his erratic posting, all I can do is reserve judgement about Pappy for another day or so.... wait to see how he plays now that FF is gone and we're discussing other subjects that come along. I figure if I compare what he does, says, and how he approaches the game now... plus my impression about him being far too committed in voting FF out, this should give me a better feel which way Pappy is leaning this time.


Noodles - Rich made a statement which rings true for Noodles... "2. Noods when she is in complete shut down mode she is hiding." I could see voting Noods for lying low... that is uncharacteristic for her when she's on the town side. But I'll hold off there because... life happens and she might really be pressed for time like many of us are (including myself). Again, it sounds annoying, but it's another case of "wait and see" for me with Noods.

Dangerdoll - I'm not picking up a scummy vibe from DD this time, so I have her leaning more neutral/possibly pro-town than many others so far. Having been through DD's posts, I wasn't able to find anything I felt would indicate that she's up to anything scummy.

Rich - Really not sure about Rich at all. Voting someone off for being a distraction is rather harsh. But not out of character, I suppose.

Annie - All or nothing. I think Annie latched on to voting FF much the same as Lab Rat did. I wouldn't be opposed to voting him for it at this point.... same as I'm leaning with a few others for similar reasons.

JB - I've agreed with a good part of his statements, so for that reason I should lean him slightly on the town side for Day 1. I expect we'll see more differences emerge though from today on because we're not locked in anymore to the single-topic focus we've dealt with throughout the first day.

Tank - Seriously needs to step up his involvement in this game. Guess Tank wins the "most likely to UD" vote for his lack of participation.

I'm not getting a read one way or another yet for either JL, Ice, Wizard, or Madcrawdad. That seems unusual because I'd normally have a stronger impression by now which side I believe they're on after this long... even if that turns out to be incorrect.

Overall... I think most folks are being careful in this game. Probably due in large part to the 50/50 format and, again, because most of Day 1 was spent going back and forth over FF or Lab Rat's case against FF.

and ya'll talk about me being non committal? Care to take a stance Kash?

While I am unsure if FF is mafia or just inept, I am concerned about his revisionist look at his own statements.

I also think it was clearly defined in the game not to role claim, while I am unsure if non-communicating innocent is a "role", I think it serves no purpose.

I am unwilling to be one of the last two votes on FF, but I am willing to take my vote off of Lab.

I retract my vote on Lab_Rat and vote to lynch Dagamoth.

Dagamoth's vote is mostly for how FF played last game. Not a random vote, but a revenge vote. I expect more from them.

My other suspects are noods (confused card) and JB (keeping mafia alive is good for the town).

A pretty lame reason to vote Dag...........

Dag, I asked you to use some sort of quotes from FF to argue your case. FF was defending himself against Lab's attack. There is nothing FF could have said after he made his first response. He was in a battle of wits that he could not win. He got so messed up that he did not even know what he was saying, he got twisted in his own defense.

You have played enough with FF and should have tried a little better to understand what he was saying and compare his breakdown to past breakdowns. A major fact is that he did not get OMGUSy on you or DD. He really never went after anyone that went after him. I think he also felt Lab was innocent.

FF got a little post happy and also got very confused. He was trying to have fun. His nervous energy was used against him and anyone that attempted to "defend" him was called scum. I pointed out that I felt his game play was not the same as it was the last game and that he had resorted to some old habits.

What I consider another lame vote for Dag. While I am in no way exhonerating Dag, I just dont like the lame reasoning for JL's votes and just seems a little chicken to get in the mix and make a controversial vote that might implicate him in any way....with all the votes that landed on FF and some were quite vocal and adamant about it, JL focuses on this. Just seems like some distancing or redirecting IMO.

I should get home at a reasonable time tonight and plan on being on/in the game (after I do my water change), in case anyone was worried that I might not make it back...
For the record, I really do not like 50/50! It too much for my little brain with my limited time! LOL
