JRR voted LG and then switched to Lab late...LG was hit during the night.

did jrr try to get a train going too soon and jumped off when he realized they were going to hit her? I'm thinking so.

I do agree that Richs flip flopping doesnt look good, especially when you consider the stance he took last night on lab when she flipped scum.

My list has stayed the same:

Bio
Jrr
Annie

with special consideration for Rich who I could sub in for annie.

Any merit to putting up Jrr and Bio tonight rather than just railroad bio?

Only thing we need to watch for is there are 11 players left so if there are 4 more scum, which I'm thinking probably only 3 but to be safe we'll assume 4, that leaves 7 innocents. That could lead to a 4-3 innocents on Bio/JRR and the remaining 4 evils could jump on an innocent and force a coin flip. As long as we could make sure at least 1 person on JRR was around to jump to Bio if needed I'm ok with it.

No votes from: I Love Mollies

Here is my problem Wiz. These are the votes. Post 931.

Plenty of votes fell on other players even after Labs goof. Why would you say the evil team hid on Lab and not point to those not on Lab? Only half the players were on Lab,the other half were spread out on 5 other players. If the evils did pile on Lab to hide then they are the reason she went home. I'm not saying 1 or 2 could be on her but why post just 1 instance and not a counter.

Of the 7 players on the other 5 we know Mad was innocent and Lab was evil. So we're down to 5 players to look at for possible evil.

Wiz
CCM
Rich
Bio
JL

Pretty close to my list
Bio
CCM
Rich
JRR

I still think there are only 3 left. But your posting today is either you trying to hard to save your team from losing or over thinking the situation.

My vote is staying on Bio.

Mael, If you want to make this a 2 horse race I'd rather see CCM then JRR at this time I think. JRR isn't giving us much to work with but CCM has said some strange things in his lists.

I don't really think Wiz and/or JL are evil but if any of the others on the list flip innocent they would be who I replaced them with.

I ran across this in my rereading and thought it merited a post...

So now Mael is on this team?

IDK, is he?

Take a look at the 2 posts above. In the first post JL is asking Lab if Mael is an evil. Lab rat responds "IDK, is he?"...how exactly does Lab know that Mael is a he?? Mael seems to be a player who hasn't played in a while and is an unknown (alias) player. Mael can you confirm whether you are in fact a he? Or perhaps you don't want to??

Lab has slipped up quite a few times this round and I'm wondering if I found another one.

For now...I vote to lynch Bio

ok, sorry if this turns out to be too long. I decided to back to day one and look at who Labby lists as suspect andi picked up a few posts from Kashta as well. I still ahve a long way to go thru the thread so bear with me. there has to be an easier way to do this!)

Ok, I'll call your bluff. I vote to lynch Ice. It's very odd imo that you think it's more valuable to have a vet sending in the investigations rather than still active in the game. I don't see how removing a strong townie player will help the town, therefore I find your request scummy. I think you're playing mind games and I'm amazed that others aren't questioning this more. Were you trying to get your teammate FF off the hook?

And I'm flattered you'd call me a vet, but I'm still fairly new to the game. I think I only have a couple more games under my belt than FF.

Asking for clarification of Ice's statement, and then peoples opinions of said statement is word twisting? Awesome detective work there FF.

And what makes you say JL is not scum? Is he on your scum team? Is it you, Ice, and JL? Are all 3 of you BFFs now? Who is your fourth? Your fifth (assuming worst case scenario of 5 scum)?

And what makes you say Ice is not scum? Is he on your scum team? Is it you, Ice, and JL? Are all 3 of you BFFs now? Who is your fourth? Your fifth (assuming worst case scenario of 5 scum)? Not to mention, this is a total WIFOM argument.

Yes, this is the norm for FF...problem is, he plays this way when he's on a scum team too, so there is no way to say what he is. One game we pretty much ignored him saying "oh, that's just how FF is" and he was really scum. I'm not going to let that happen again if I can.

That is very much bothering me about Ice too. Ice is very crafty and manipulative, I don't understand why people seem to be trusting him this early in the game.

This was a good try FF, but I don't think you understand word twisting at all. I've done none of it this game. It was all asking Ice to clarify his statement.

What do you need to know how to do JL?

Here in a response to FF, she lists, FF, JL & Ice as team mates...she also comments on it being a 4 player/possibly 5 player team. I saw this another post from her as well...

I'm on my break after rounds but before my teaching responsibilities. I got caught up and posted my thoughts about what's gone on. What's the matter Mael, am I picking on your teammates???

now she adds Mael to the team....

{snip}Do I buy the notion that Ice genuinely believes (if innocent) that the value of his contribution to this game is greater if he's dead (to communicate/invest with dead innocents) than if alive (posting, voting, debating, rooting scum)? Not for a minute. That's a load of crap. Ice is well aware of his worth to the town for his ability to poke through smokescreens and call people out for suspicious behaviors. And that's where my problem with Ice's remark lies.

When he first said it, he was under no pressure. No real interest about him had come up.. no votes on him.. no one questioning him. The probability at that time that Ice would actually get lynched on Day 1 was slim to none. Since making the statement, however, Ice has drawn votes and has been grilled about this by several people. The town's focus has shifted his direction, he's picked up several votes, and many people are now questioning his motives, agenda, and possible allegiance. In that situation, trying to retract what he said would be disasterous. Ice is no simpleton and would take care to guard against reacting badly when he's under some pressure. For Ice to survive, he needs to take it all in stride. He stands by the statement he made, doesn't try to weasel his way out of this, fields questions about it without overreacting to them, and clarified his meaning/intent wherever necessary. Grace under pressure demonstrated by a consummate mafia player.

Unfortunately, none of this helps us in any way to determine whether Ice is innocent or evil. Ice would respond to this situation exactly as he has done regardless of his role. Ice's reaction to all the scrutiny interests me now a lot less than the reaction this has drawn from other players.

There was one little naggy detail in the back of my mind when I voted Ice.. and I'm giving that a little more weight now than I did yesterday. That is..... JL has become an instigator of sorts in this game who has already (on Day 1) managed to point our focus and our votes toward 2 leading lynch candidates... first FF and then Ice. Whether this was intentional and he's giggling about this in the scum den or unintentional... wish I could tell.

A simple exchange between FF and JL...

....... has resulted in this:

And this:

(5) FF - JL (19) JRR (87) CCM (145) Annie (155) Rich (216) ILM (332)

Whether JL is innocent or evil (for the moment)...... who among those 5 other voters also make good mafia suspects?

I can accept JRR and CCM voting as they did at the time they made their votes. Neither of them have dealt with FF and his nonsense as much as the rest of us have. Fairly quick votes from new (returning) players seems reasonable where FF is concerned.

IMO both Annie and Rich stand out a lot more as potential scum who (when they're evil) generally like to sit back, lie low, and let someone like JL hand FF's head over to us on a silver platter.

As does... the way ILM conveniently jumped on at the end of the line where she likely thinks it'd be easy to claim she was mislead by other opinions should FF get killed and prove to be innocent.

For that matter, Annie's later retraction off FF to vote Lab Rat (all by himself) would be a very good move for scum to disassociate himself from helping to lynch an innocent. Annie's singleton vote on Lab is safer and less consequential once the imminent death of a townie is well assured.[/QUOTE] thought it was worth looking at kashta's suspects/thoughts on the people voting for FF.....

(Sort of continued from my previous post.)

Similarly.. I question which of these names are most likely to take advantage of a good opportunity (if scum) to benefit by placing their vote on someone they know is innocent.

Lab Rat - I disagree with Wizard's assessment that Lab waits and carefully deliberates before deciding who she's going to go after. In her case, all it usually takes is one logical argument or some theory she's pulled out of thin air and she's fairly quick to make snap judgements. Then she's pretty relentless in her pursuit of someone either because she really thinks they're scummy or she wants to appear like she's bush kicking on the town's behalf.... all the while, adamantly arguing with or pouncing on anyone who even mildly disagrees with her.

Kashta - Well yeah, my name is there too. While I may be putting my own neck at risk by bringing this up, that's okay. I like to think I'm competent enough not to be easily manipulated or suckered in by someone like JL......... as I used to be... when JL plants his little seeds of suspicion against someone. Since I also always suspect Ice in these games and look for subtle logic twists from him whenever possible... I believe it would be foolish and naive not to question his motives every game. That's why I voted him.

Bio - This is someone who swooped right in to place a convenient vote on someone at a time when she thought it was a safe way to hide a mafia vote against someone on the other side.

Mael - Hard to read.. still undecided.

Noods - Not looking like a pro-town move on her part.

At this point, it's too soon in the game to make a definitive call and I'm not sure what to conclude about either JL or Ice. If either of those two are evil, I'm certainly not going to figure that out on Day 1. Placing my vote on Ice was one thing, but leaving it there implies a certainty of opinion that I can't say I have (yet). But what's gone on in this thread... reading the posts and questioning where votes have been placed... I feel there's a very strong likelihood that Annie, Rich, and Bio (or even just 2 out of 3) are working quietly against the town.

I retract my vote on Ice.

My top suspects right now are JL, Annie, Rich, and Bio.

I'm leaning Lab Rat and ILM more to the scum side than townie.

I'm still undecided or neutral about everyone else (including Ice which explains my retraction above).

First... I'd really like JL to address the points I have brought up in my posts today. I doubt that my concerns about JL are solid enough yet to base voting him this soon. But I'm not far away from making that change... very likely will decide to vote him between now and nightfall (assuming I get time today to follow the thread early enough).

Second... Depending on how this plays out with JL which I'm counting as "yet to be determined"... my next choice for top suspect would be BioHazard.

I vote to lynch Bio.

I'll wait to read JL's response(s) before making a final decision about voting him. In the meanwhile, based on everything that's gone on in this thread, I think Bio is the one most likely to have slipped up at this point. Bio is also carrying votes to which I'm happy to add mine.

I very well may switch to JL later... so we'll see. At the moment, a single vote from me on JL would seem meaningless when other top suspects appear to be lynchable today.

i will pull more later............

There are 12 players left according to Zaffy's list.

I would prefer a 2 horse race. We cannot afford to be wrong and a 2 horse race would give us better odds. that last part is risky unless we really have a few around at nightfall. I have no idea what my day will be like tomorrow but I should be around if needed........

Interesting "catch"

I am in fact a he, i will give you that much.

what i will also say is I knew going into the game that I would not give away my real identity even to my teammates for that very reason if I ended up as scum. Im trying to get back into the swing of the game and just thought it would be best to keep my past gameplay anonymous from everyone.

Lab probably just went with the stereotypical male pronoun. and maybe I just give off a manly vibe lol.

omg... what a bad night! I see that most are voting bio already with suspicions on Cavie, JRR, and possibly Annie... maybe Noods with a late night distancing, could be possible but I am not sitting so easy with it... I am in the middle of reading
