Why are you protecting Ice? His game play has seemed off to me and now he posts something that could have been a slip and you push it off as Ice being strategic?

I wasn't protecting Ice but I was pointing out how I saw it and how I would have meant it if I had said it. I was going to correct him myself but decided not to since the question was for Pir and I wanted to see his responce to the wording.

Ice, I don't know if that was meant so that I would screw up and say that I received a PM saying I was innocent, or if you received a PM and didn't read the 2nd post. Either way, it was a screw up. Care to elaborate?

I'm not going to bother going back and pulling all the posts asking why I've been quiet, but LG is dead on. I probably shouldn't have signed up. Like I said this morning, I went to Mass. with some friends and just got home. I've been keeping up with the game for what I can (mostly skimming) on my phone, but it's a PITA to post; and hanging with friends comes first anyway. If you find that hard to believe... vote for me.

Don't know what to think about Ice's slip. It is a dangerous proposition to vote for him simply on the fact that he got a PM though, for reasons which I think are clear to all. At this point, I don't have a read on which way to lean him.

I'll be back on my 'puter later tonight, and I'll try to have more thoughtful input then.

Interesting that this is where the hand picking speculation started. Pir asked the question but this answer that JPap "LIKES" to hand pick seems questionable. Then Pir goes and pokes the hornets nest and asks others to try and figure out who JPap would hand pick. Pir votes for LR and then retracts saying he thinks LR is innocent and was blackmailed. I admit I did think it was an interesting idea but now I think I may be seeing some links forming between these two. Post 390 Pir votes for LR and then retracts and votes for LG in post 397. For now...

I vote to lynch Pir

I just get the feeling that he is trying to stir up confusion among the innocents with his posting.

right here, i was going to say that there is a possibility that Pir could be blackmailed because of his weak post, and he was the first one to bring it up.

I have a few minutes before I need to leave again.

The possibility of Lab Rat being blackmailed into her vote on Dawg was a good suggestion, and one I hadn't considered yet.... I had seen that in the rules but for some reason it didn't stick in my head. But after thinking this over, I don't think even that explains away Lab's posting this game. Sure, if she were blackmailed to vote Dawg, a pro-town way of doing it would be to come up with the flimsiest reason she could think of to justify it. And I will grant her reasoning is very flimsy.

However, the blackmail thing only applies to a person's single vote. The Don wouldn't be able to make Lab Rat act scummy in other ways, which I feel she's been in several of her other posts.... not just who she picked to vote for and why.

That said, I'll leave my vote where it is.

I've also been thinking about Salt's behavior/attitude. Not sure who it was that already made the comment and I don't have time to go back to pull posts right now.... but someone had mentioned before that it isn't uncommon for a new player to join into a game, expecting it's appropriate to come across like a wise guy and just take the mafia theme persona too far. Noobs don't always realize they're supposed to pretend to be innocent (whether they are or not) and browsing through a game or two beforehand isn't going get that point across, specifically. I also feel any that among any possible mix of players who could be teamed together, at least one of them would be bound to tell Salt to lighten up or STFU already -- before he got himself into so much trouble. At this point, I'm not sure yet which way to lean Salt... which is why I don't like making day 1 judgements on noobs, even when they are acting suspicious.

i have to agree with this. as stated before, i found a few other things that were much scummier than her vote switch. about the blackmailing...it may have been a possibility, but given that dawg isnt even in the running for a lynch and (as stated later) there is supposedly only one, i doubt the mafia would use it on him and today.

It's still a stretch, a strange vote among crazy votes will still be just that, a strange vote.

Thats a waste of a vote IMO. Hes being unhelpful and scummish, and everyone knows it. He's pretty harmless as scum (unless he is the don or if voting gets close) so I'd go after a vet on D1, as they tend to be the ones who can turn games evil quickly.

I agree, JB is playing a lot like the time when me and him were scum. I remember he was quieter that game, as he has been for this one. I may be wrong, and feel free to double check that in case I am.

Zaffy is ussualy quiet, and haydn hasn't really posted anything at all. My question is to where PP is?

i suppose they could fake a blackmail in that one of their members could suddenly change votes to that it looks like a balckmail, but if there really is only one i doubt they would do that. plus, since you cannot reveal that you are blackmailed they can't fake one. come to think of it, that kinda defeats the purpose of blackmailing a mafia member then...

Confirmed from JPap via email, there is only 1 blackmail.

Pir, although blackmail was a possibility, you already confirmed that pap said there is only one. As others have posted, using it D1 is not worth it.
Did you know this already? Were you just trying to clear LR?

Reread the Game thread. Those voting LR aren't voting because of her vote.

Also did you completely miss her answer to me? The one where I questioned her not seeing anything scummy? Or were you advised to just sweep that under the carpet.

IMO, D1 has been dripping of scum in the postings. For anyone to not see anything scummy is either skimming or wearing blinders to their teammates posts. (IMO)

this made me think a bit...perhaps labby is trying to make it look like she was blackmailed? im not sure about it though, because at that point nobody was really looking into her, though it is a possibility.

on a side note, scratch my theory that Pir has been blackmailed.
