Mafia 92: Night of the living Mafia... the play

actually, FF...with the series of events being posted like that, Ice's logic seems to be a bit clearer...mafia would not want the zombies to take their hit because 1. it lowers the amount of innocents they can hide behind, especially if some of the 'controversial' players are taken out in OMGUS zombie hits and such, and 2. the zombies are competition to win.

I don't follow... the less innocents, the closer the mafia are to victory. Zombies take out innocent, magia happier. Seems simple to me.

I never said it was your first post, I said it was ONE of your first posts...

it wouldn't be the first time the mafia were clever enough to "threaten" that they might quit because of whatever reason..... it might be the first one to want to quit because they have a job though.... at any rate, it's all a baseless threat unless the PPM in to Bala is in.

Honest mistake (to the :first posts/first post thing).

What I do not understand is why you would be offering any advise for other players and then claim that the confusion over zombie loyalty is a personal matter.

This post feels like it was written by FF maybe 10 games ago...FF, I've certainly see you do better than to end up writing something so blatantly troublesome as this post.

And it seems odd that you would find it odd. Do you have anything to say regarding actual posts in the conversation?

I know, it's pathetic... i get tired and boom, screw myself over. I'm going to be sleeping tonight (stayed up til 1 yesterday watching Gabriel Iglaisias(?) on U-tube :D)

No zombies should have their own interest at heart. Why should they care about letting the town win if they lose? If the town wins then anyone who was a zombie loses. If someone was a townie and then was changed to mafia they would be expected to go with their new team and not have a town win mindset.

well they should pay attention the next days events, especially if they are unsure on whom to use the hit, because there is a 24 hr window to cast the hit.

would you prefer that he had just let the question go and ignored it?
I fail to see how answering a question is "defensive''

Ices very first post in the game was dead on serious, it took me by surprise. So I commented on it. He made no reply, and I didn't bother to move forward with it, my comment had been more joke then real thought. Here's the comment:

"Wow, kinda jumping in there aren't you, Ice?" - Notice, it's in question form.

The Jm commented on it with "Ice, don't you think its kinda early to already be "watching" 3 other people?"- again, in question form. Ice got all defensive when the second person noticed his behavior and defended that with
Its never to early to be watching players. I'm watching everyone just wanted these 3 to know I was particularly interested in them due to what was said and respond to.

You have a problem with me watching those 3? Same to you FF, I see you also had a post questioning me about my watching post. Is there a reason you 2 are worried?

A very aggressive and over defensive post. he could have brushed it off with ease (it's what I would have done) but instead he reacted with that. Not only did he defend himself, but he then proceeded to attack Jm and myself, though he had completely ignored my earlier post. So, in sumary, I think Ice is scum because he was way defensive when the situation didn't need it. Thus, I voted him. Satifactory?

That isn't what I'm saying exactly.

I'll break it down. Its really an either or situation.

Mad mafia- Posts this idea to look pro town, I mean really did it have to be posted?
Mad innocent- Posts this idea but worded it badly. Should have been more on the point of making sure you took as long as possible to make a choice. Asking someone to not take a shot is wrong IMO as its part of their game.

If Mad is innocent then its possible that Doom or Rich would think the town would agree and are latching on.

If Mad is mafia its possible that Doom or Rich are innocents that bought into the plan or one of them could be mafia trying to reinforce the idea.

Either way, it looks like you've got it covered....we're either innocent or mafia.

This is pretty convoluted. When weighing between a living townie to hide behind and a dead townie to put you closer to the win (especially early in the game), there is no contest. If I were scum I'd want the Zombies to kill as many as possible.

2. The zombies are only competition to win on the nightfall where one team can come withing 1 kill of winning. That's not happening for a while.

I vote to lynch JM

There are 6 other possible scenarios based solely on these 3 players alignments. What do you think of those?

I do not think raz's statements were incriminating. He was just thinking out loud and the end results only made sense to him. I have done similar many times.

Ice starting with a theory on 3 people is very Ice like, I do see much in it yet. I am curious to see if he expands on it more.

I am not sure if Jm just has different logic than me or is trying to put some kind of idea in our heads about what the mafia would want if we get lynched. I don't understand how he could think they do not want random hits made especially early when the likely hood of it being a townie is very high.

yum, a vote on day one. care to explain why you chose it?

as for my comment about the mafia NOT wanting the zombies to take out hits...it is about the OMGUS and hits against controversial players. i.e. ones that have gotten in people's faces about certain issues, cross examined others, and possibly even started trains against other people that would cause an OMGUS or for a zombie to think they were mafia (or just annoying). mafia hide behind those types of people ALL of the time in these games. there have been numerous times where mafia have hid behind Ice or Kash or Jpap, who turned out to be innocents but were lynched and thought of as mafia. in those games, the mafia just let them do all of their dirty work for them. then they sit back and relax until they come under fire, and by then all of those types of players have been lynched and its too late.

It's come to my attention that I may have neglected reporting nightfall time. It will be tomorrow night (wednesday) at 9pm.

I'll have a vote count up later tonight.

I kind of understand what you're saying Jm however when it comes down to it the mafia win by having townies dead. Later on in the game I could see them being wary about hits when there is a greater chance of them (them being the mafia) being hit but early in the game chances are an innocent will be killed. Regardless of which townies the mafia have the ability to "hide behind" a dead townie is a dead townie.
