Mafia Game #4 The Play

sorry but i just remembered i am leaving today for a camping trip, can i play for the rest of today then, *dissapear*?

Except you'd be ignoring a huge fact - that it's already been stated several times it's a completely random assignment. Dismissing facts and misleading statements...

OK, then, let me rephrase, 'an active player who is intelligent'? Is that better and more accurate?
 
yes, random, but still, it would make sense, I am not misleading anyone, I was just stating what I was thinking, which is the point, think it out, and make assumptions, ...awfully defensive?...:lipssealedsmilie:
 
Sandy completes his jog having met about half of the small town's population. He can only assume that the other half are hiding, in the boarded up houses, down the street in the pub, in some dark alley or shady building. There is still a chill in the air, but it isn't the frost any longer. It is now the chill of eyes on his back and hushed accusations. "I think we need to do something to liven this town up." But what can one concerned citizen do?

Yeah I know. I promised I wouldn't and that I'd lay off the caffeine for this round. *lol* (McD makes good coffee though!) But one could "think" that about a lot of past players. Coler was one of the most reknown mafia members, and then had a heroic turn and brought down the mafia as the detective. What roll would "make sense" for him this time? What about Ogre, who's had his legendary past, MadCrawdad, all of them. All I'm saying, is if you're "thinking" outloud, which is what the town needs, don't forget about everyone else. Because when people don't is when I tend to feel defensive.

Reason for not lynching sandman. He's posted several times very quickly and had a good observation. That's not mafia-like actions to me. The mafia are very likely making nearly useless posts at this time (or will be shortly) and planning their strategy.

They know that we have a very poor chance of picking out a mafia on day 1. When I was mafia last game, I made sure to tell the team to not even respond to attacks on day 1. It just wasn't worth the potential problems.

I think the mafia will play very carefully.

BTW: Mayor, detective... if you don't mind a few suggestions. I really encourage you to investigate Madcrawdad and NeonJulie at the earliest opportunity. They are good players and we need to make sure that they are on our side. If they are mafia, they need to go quick.

Good observation? Pointing out that 2 players got in at the last minute therefore are innocents is not a good observation.

What makes Mad and Neon anymore a threat then say Coler. Sure seems to be a lot of finger pointing and protecting going on early in this game.

I think the mafia is showing up early in this game.

Not jumping on any bandwagons just yet. But if I had to name 3/4 to watch right now it would be Zman,Ogre,guppyguppy and charlie.
 
Basing decisions on any of the other three games is not beneficial to this game. For those of us who didn't participate in the other games, it is information that is NOT relevant to this game. Can we stick to the information revealed in this game.

Ogre please don't tell people to relax. If you were referring to me and NJ going at each other, it's called roleplay and character development. There's no need to try to keep us in line as neither of us are taking it personal.
