Mafia Game #4 The Play

no one wants a tea party?
by the way i own the coffee shop so it is easy for me to through a tea party! (you can have coffee if you want)

hmmm... JOhnLarson has made a lynch vote with no real reason... which everyone is pretty much ignoring. That's fine.

He's watching the thread, yet nothing after his lynch (and nothing before if I'm not mistaken). That's fine... kind of interesting, but fine.

I'd just like to point out that I did the almost exact same thing as mafia last game. Is JL mafia, probably not, but I'm moving him from a 6 to a 5 on my mafia meter.

Just so everyone knows... I've got an excel file with everything I'm keeping track of in this game. (I guess every town needs a geek with a slide rule to keep track.) My mafia meter is a scale from 1-10. Ten is 'I believe you are so innocent, you could lull a unicorn to sleep in your lap'. One is 'Here, eat this apple.'

Five and six are my not really sure and everyone starts at 6. Just moving JL to 5 at this time.

That is all... we now return you to your regularly scheduled argument about the town tea party.

ello all!! sorry im starting soo late, crazy morning!!

anyways...what im thinking is....do you honestly think a mafia member would jump right out and point fingers right away?! that would be completely dumb. Right now the mafia members are prolly making up a strategy and like ogre said...posting meaning less stuff. just keep and eye out for the lurkers and the rarely posters...see what they hafta say.

If you're aim was to distract me and get me flustered Nola... well it worked. I can't seem to stop laughing. Where was I again...

(I think this guy might be a danger to the town, in one way or another. *lol*)

OK guys, relax. Let's concentrate on the mafia... remember, evil villians attacking our town. Any of this ring a bell?

Since JohnLarson is so eager to attack zsandmann, than I'll nominate him for lynching.

Reason for not lynching sandman. He's posted several times very quickly and had a good observation. That's not mafia-like actions to me. The mafia are very likely making nearly useless posts at this time (or will be shortly) and planning their strategy.

They know that we have a very poor chance of picking out a mafia on day 1. When I was mafia last game, I made sure to tell the team to not even respond to attacks on day 1. It just wasn't worth the potential problems.

I think the mafia will play very carefully.

BTW: Mayor, detective... if you don't mind a few suggestions. I really encourage you to investigate Madcrawdad and NeonJulie at the earliest opportunity. They are good players and we need to make sure that they are on our side. If they are mafia, they need to go quick.

I do not even know where to begin as far as comments to this post.

I am not eager to lynch anyone. I voted and gave my reason for voting. I am not even sugesting that anyone votes with me. The first day is kind of random. I am not calling them mafia.

There are of course reasons not to lynch all of us. Everything is "not mafia like", the mafia do not want to do anything that is mafia like (whatever that is). The mafia work at night, at this point of the game, they do not even need to help each other out.

As far as your suggestions on who to investigate. I am not sure why neonjulie is on that list. Last game, as mayor, my first investigation was Coler. I think Coler, as detective, first investigated OgreMvK. I think they should investigate whoever they feel.

I also want to point out that I do not like the "role playing" and I think it takes away from the game. Maybe I am a "stick in the mud". The reason I voted to lynch ZSandmann was they were the first to "role play". The town has yet to lynch a mafia on the first night, even though we have a 1 in 3 chance of doing it.

Is that Nola-guy gonna be there? *jk*

I'll bring some good reads, guppy. You know, this reminds me of all of those detective shows. When you look around, and all about your are suspects, what do you do? You invite them all to join you, for a dinner, for a seance, or a revealing. (I speak to my heart, Monsieur Poirot.) Get everyone where you can see them, and observe them... it's a great tactic my dear. Oh, and for us Townies, at least it'll provide something other than fear to think about for an afternoon?
