I was actually really surprised. That's my first time building anything with acrylic... a bit of care to get your cuts bang on, and you get a really nice looking end product!

Only thing I'm not happy with is for some of the little rails that hold up the drip plate and eggcrate for the bio balls, I used polycarbonate (lexan) instead of acrylic (Plexiglas). Bonding the two different plastics together made a cloudy looking mess, instead of a nice crystal clear joint... but then I have to remind myself it's only a sump :p

How is your RUGF doing with the sand? Any sign of dead spots? I dont recall did you just place the sand over the pvc or did you put down some grating and mesh?

I'm thinking of changing from gravel over to a sand in my 75 when I do my first 3 month major cleaning ... but want to stick with an RUGF - I think I might pattern it after your project.

Also looks like you had to do alittle modding to the center brace between the doors to get that thing in there :)
