My first big girl tank!

I agree with MG if you get SUPER BAC you can get a school of pacu and 10 common plecos. SUPER BAC can solve everything!

I wash my rims with SUPER BAC!!!! Works like a charm :grinyes:

I just mean that the only money I spend on my tanks is money I make from my tanks. So if i want to be able to buy the stuff I need, I need to sell some shrimp, snails, and plants. LOL, kinda like puttign them on an exercise regime for results. just a joke

Now that I have it, I am a bit overwhelmed with what to do with it, lol, too many possibilities of too many things I have wanted. I need 3 more of them!

Ohhhh, you got it baaaadd! :lipssealedsmilie: :hypnotized:

i would center the tank around one fish. alot of folks have an oscar, so if it was me, i would do something differrent. a full grown green terror can be a true show fish. a male texas cichlid, pearl or green, can be a star for that tank. a fully grown male texas yields an imposing presence.
if you havent considered some particulars yet, remeber that a 110 gallon tank is quite heavy when full. place the tank on a very sturdy loaction in your abode. i recommend this article to help with that issue:

I honestly don't know. I am not going to have to worry about it as its on a concrete floor in my basement (fish room to-be). I would recommend making a post in either general freshwater or freshwater products and DIY.

Thanks for all the input guys....I had dreams of the new tank last night. I still have no idea what I will do. If I had four or five tanks this size it would be alot easier! Lots of great suggestions. I am leaning heavily towards either the planted discus tank or oscars..jeez..I also want apistos. I have two other smaller empty tanks that I could use for apistos. Waiting to get it going is going to be the hardest part for sure!

Great pick up Jinx! I've been out of town so I just saw the thread. I am SOOO jealous!

Apistos would be fine with Discus. ;)

Wow, I would be stumped my self I would say go with a Northern Pike for some excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 fish for 1 big tank :)

If it were mine (let a guy dream for a minute)... 2 groups of 4 Discus, 2 pairs of Triple Red Cacs, 1 pair each Fetivums and Keyholes, 40 Rummies, 20 Sterbais...

SA Biotope.
