My tanks

Repairing center braces are iffy at best. I wish you well my friend & hope it holds! Fingers crossed!

I like the new lighting! What did you go with? I may have to buy new 4ft lights soon...ugh

I was just hoping you’d have an update for us ? love the contrast of the styles you have in both tanks! And love the new light. Beautiful tanks :) How’re your little betta buddies doing?

The repair is just until I locate a new frame :)

I went with the Nicrew SkyLED Plus, for my red plants, so more high tech. Well, pinkish red lol I liked the pink on my hygrophila rosanaverig and the red on my ozelot sword but old light made those fade. And my new bacopa caroliniana is red so I want it to stay. So splurged on a bright light. Just did the 18-24" one for half the tank, use a fluorescent with a 10000k Coralife bulb on the right side.
My other tanks besides my bettas are fluorescent too. They work for low tech but want to get into some redder plants and some other high light plants on this 55 so heck why not lol

Theyre doing great! Cheriko has her 5g which has taken off well. And Frankie has a bunch of random plants in it, been changing his up here and there to prevent boredom lol

Amazing as always!! I’m especially loving Frankie’s because of the directional flow of the wood. And the beautiful plants in Cheriko’s ?

And my 20g with my loaches and DG. There's a tunnel under the hill for the loaches. My DG was stressed by the skirt tetras in my blackwater and by the faster filter, so hes happy with just the loaches. I'll eventually try to locate a girlfriend for him.

As a tip, are you feeding your snails? they will Eat plants if they have no food. Imo the plastic plants are unnescarry as they just cut the fishes fins which isn’t good.

Your loach tank looks awesome! Very naturalistic, thebroken pots and Little rocks Give it a polluted asian stream feel which I dig id throw in botanicals and rice for hyper naturalistic

Very nice!
2nd to feeding the snails as a partial solution to their devouring the plants. But they are poop-spitting machines no mater what they eat.

Yes the snails are fed! A wafer daily, additionally veggies, shrimp pellets once a week for some protein, whatever food the fish miss as well. But they still eat the plants indiscriminately. They're not my "clean up crew", we did our research on what they need to be fed so we make sure they get their own food as much as we do our fish too. My son adores the snails and really wanted them, so we made sure to do what they need.

I dont like using fake plants, but its what I have to do if I want some shelter for the fish lol plus goldfish eat many plants too. If I had it my way, would totally be real live plants.

Ive tried all sorts of plants with the snails, ones people say they dont touch--they still do.

10 tanks, 9 of them are all planted!
