Fry are always exciting! But, well, keep up your QT protocols. My dwarf neon "gift" rainbows hung on for many months until I finally had to give up & euthanize the survivors. They looked very bad at that point, I think I said before. I hope your Madagascars & maybe others are resistant. Again, my fingers are crossed for your fish.

Fry is under QT anyways, with the rest of them.
Its inside a breeder box I made within the main tank--sharing water source. I had it going for the bn pleco babies who are also stuck in QT lol but it hatched from a few eggs that got into the box from plants that were just floating around, tossed in there for more biofilm surfaces for the BN fry and of course, rainbows hatch.
That single fry is the only one that survived the heat waves this summer too.
Mycobacteria problem has been settling down, I seem to be ahead of it thus far!
I went back to blackwater, moved the harlequin rasboras to one of my other 55s (to the anubias tank) and now the 20 is just the cherry barbs and pangio loaches.

I hope your blackwater is helping with the myco...but I think mine took ~6 months or more for me to give up. Don't let your guard down yet.

The blackwater isn't affected, it's the rainbow 55 that has the myco problem. But there's been no new signs there, so it's looking uphill. Just hoping it stays that way.
And this is the reason why keeping fishes should be outlawed; not because it might be 'cruel' or some other ad hoc reason but because it is an addiction that can last a life time....
Isn't that how we most all got started w/just a 10g or 20g? It's a much less damaging addiction than some I can think of...& I've had a few of those others too. Fish are a better & more interesting hobby...
I'm going on 40+ years keeping FW fish. More realistic these days, but still having fun!! Always something new to learn, aquascapes to try or fish to keep...but I am running out of maintenance energy for too many tanks anymore. Call me "selective" or "lazy", both are correct!

That's how I'm starting just got my 10g a year ago today, and now my dad got me his old tank for Christmas(a 55g) and now I see why people have ten tanks in their homes, a year ago I thought this ten gallon was all I was ever gonna have in my life but of course i was wrong.

But I can have a quarantine tank (20 long or 55g) set up in minutes with cycled media if I need to go for a special fish find...Like boyscouts, I'm always prepared!!
