First of I like meat, never had horse, nor do I ever intend to.
I just wanted to get back to the first issue brought up. Rod is an idiot.
He has done nothing good for the state (ok, on good thing was the All-Kids program). He bad for business (that stupid receipt tax he was trying for, and shutting down projects when he was first elected) and is just as crooked as those he was against when getting elected. An absolute moron and him wasting our tax money and governments time to pass such a stupid law as is the frois gras law was here in Chicago. Can't believe he was re-elected.

i believe this topic was about the horses, not the politicians.. lets keep it there, thanks :)

First off calling people uneducated for their views on a topic is rude and very immature. second if you where half as educated as you claim those of us (I) that feel your lifestyle is un healthy you would have had the inteligence to read that twice I have stated there will be exceptions and 99% of you look like stickfigures. Of course there will always be someone who is overweight. Please read before you post, it only makes you look that much more ignorant if you try to undermine facts that where not stated.

As far as health goes I eat meat 3 times a day and I'm healty as a horse!! I have low blood pressure and cholesterol. I run with my dogs every day and make sure all 3 of my pits get a healthy game of tug each evening. So obviously meat isn't as evil as you think it is.
agreed

Yep, what do you think your ancestors ate to keep them alive and have children...ETC eventually allowing you to be alive???? Have you ever noticed that the more of you tree huggung hippies there are pushing this diet or that and this vegan crap the more we have illnesses like cancer, and heart problems??? Not so much of that back in the days of meat and potatos, so I'll stick with what is tried and true and not what a bunch of domestic terrorists (PETA) have to say.

Tell me any of this sounds educated to you. Seriously. I'm not saying he is an uneducated guy, I am saying that his opinion of vegetarianism is grossly uneducated. You can call me immature, you can call me a whale hugging dirt worshipper, whatever you want, but really, does any part of this statement sound as if it is rooted in unbiased research? And just for my own edification, during which time period specifically were "the days of meat and potatoes?"
Oh and just so you know, not every vegetarian is a member of, or is in agreement with PETA

ok, i must have misunderstood your post.... im sorry about that:)
i dont mind people who eat meat, i just dont want to:)
my point of view exactally. Go eat all the meat you want, just dont rub it in my race

Just thought this was interesting for all the soy lovers out there: http://www.frot.co.nz/dietnet/basics/soy.htm

Oh, since you like "experts" so much: http://www.soyonlineservice.co.nz/downloads/nctrpti.pdf

They market soy as a miracle product, but hide the darker side. What is more frightening is the ever increasing amount of soy products on the market today. So meat is bad, but soy is not? Too much of a good thing, is not a good thing. Everything in moderation. Balance is key. Meat and vegetables can exist together, in my belly....  hehehe:grinyes:

Speaking of reading, where did I say meat was evil? You have stated repeatedly that vegetarianism is an inferior, and unnatural choice. The only evidence you have offered to support your statement is your opinion, which seems to be tempered only by your own observations. By definition, that's an uneducated view. It wasn't intended as a personal insult, and I'm not going to apologize for being direct. And come on, saying that one percent of a population may be different than the rest of the group isn't really saying much. My point is that you have been demanding that a particular poster, who seems very young to me, explain to you her dietary choices. You can assert that you are healthy and she/I/ any vegetarian on the planet is less so until you are blue in the face but that doens't make it true.

Not uneducated at all, eating meat is natural, eating only plants is not. It is writen in the most important book in the world. Look it up, eating meat is not wrong, the only person to ever live a perfect life ate MEAT!!!
