Actually they started this pit bull thing beginning of spring. It has been going on quite a while.
actually, the statistics show that pits are responsible for a very small margin of bites and attacks on humans...guess what?
I sure would like to SEE these stats you are talking about.
Cocker spaniels and labrador retrievers have the most bites on record.
Again, lets see the proof.
They are people for lack of a better term,
They are not people. There are differences (other than physical) that set humans apart from the animals. An animal... is an animal. I am not saying they dont have emotions, but they do not possess the emotions, feelings that we do. Also another thing that sets us apart from the animals is a little thing called a "soul". Animals do not have one but humans do.
Actually, pit bulls are proven to be more aggressive. Its in their breed. True, all dogs come from the same vicious family, but they have been domesticated.
Its just like having a lion. Remember all those stories about all these wild animals? "Awww, I raised it since it was a puppy. It wont hurt a fly"
They dont say that anymore AFTER it mauls them. Take Sigfried and Roy for example. Lots of speculation on that one but what do you REALLY think happened?
I dont know if you know about the guy with the bear, I forget his name. I think its Treadwell or something like that. Anyway he raised this Kodiak bear (A HUGE Grizzly species) and he starred in tons of movies. Just about any movie you see with a bear in it (Exception movies made 2-3 years to present) that bear was the one in it. He played with his handler and was a really nice bear for many years. But one day it attacked him. Mauled and killed him. His trainer for many many years.
My point is, if you take a wild animal it will still have that instinct in the back of its mind. I dont care what the heck you say it still will have it. Look at all these trainers who claim that same thing you do.
THAT is the reason why they are taking pit bulls away. Too much of a danger. They would much rather get rid of pit bulls than risk even more deaths of humans.
A plus side for pit bull owners, though, is to adopt. If you can find someone in a state that allows pit pulls, they will alow you to give them the pit bull and they wont hurt it.
Oh, and if you want some statistics follow the following link. Pit Bulls and Rottweilers account for more than half. They have good reason to be removing pit bulls. In case you dont know rottweilers are also on their removal list.
