radiata lion wont eat.

yes it can lol.

any ideas on what to try next?
Did you try live ghost or SW feeder shrimp? I may have missed the post) You may have to use FW feeders as a last resort; I've done this and then gotten them onto frozen food. Lions like their food a lot bigger than many folks think. Most lions, except the babies, will ignore brine, mysiss, etc. They want a mouthful they can swallow whole.

Live feeders will be your best bet. Once he associates food (live food) with you, he will be more likely to take other foods.

I say wait a week and try the ghost shrimp again. If he did eat your peppermint he'll be hungry again by then.

turns out he didnt get the peppermint... i saw the pep today.

I thought he had eaten it cause last night i looked at the tank and there were what appeared to be remains of a shrimp floating all about the tank.

i dont know, am i more worried than i should be? Now hes starting to not even seem interested.

Another issue is im going away for 5 days tomorrow (football camp) and my mother will be watching the tank. Shes usually pretty good, but she wont exactly know what shes doing, she'll just feed frozen foods like i have instructed her...

had him about a full week now i think. Maybe a little less cant remember perfectly.

store didnt feed him when i got him.

I think my lion waited over 2 weeks before he would even look at food, and it was ghost shrimp I finally got him to take.

ok, so hopefully no worries.

i instructed my mother to do the same to the tanks for when i was going away as she did 2 weeks ago, she feeds a variety of frozen and dry foods to all of my fish.

Maybe i will try another ghost shrimp when i get home.

Thanks guys,
Jay

back today, long story short we got booted out of camp early...
