Anyone have any tips on using treated rainwater in an aquarium? The water in my area is very hard, and I can't really keep buying RO water for a few reasons. I saw this option mentioned a few times, and would like some more info. Thanks.

I personally wouldn't use rainwater because of the pollution and smog in the air concentrates in the rain.

Mostly South Americans of some variety, i.e. Angels, Clown Loaches, Glass Cats, Firemouths, etc. They're doing fine with the less than optimal water, but I just think it would be ideal if they had more refined water to better suit their original environment.

LOL so if rainwater is so awful for the fish what are all those with outdoor ponds doing when it rains?

I wish we got enough rain to do a water change with.
