Ray of sunshine

My ray of sunshine is just knowing that I can always feel pain physically.

my dad is coming back from ohio tommorrow, which is good because i really need his help with stuff. cats are always comforting, my cat will only hang out around me, makes me feel special :D

and i got some bobwhite quail for my dad and hes going to be thrilled to see them...

My biggest "ray of sunshine" today was actual rays of sunshine! The sun came out today, and the temperature got above freezing (I believe the high was around 38). The ice on the trees, as beautiful as it looks with the sun shining through it, has begun to melt, as has the ice on the roads. Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer. It was nice today to be able to actually go out and do something.

Other smaller things are things like the fact my cockatiel is chirping at me, wanting me to get him out. It's great to know that even if nobody else seems to want me at the moment, my bird always does. He brings a huge smile to my face. It's also nice and quiet here today, as all of my family has had power restored and they are no longer hanging out here. (As much as I love them, having 3 of my siblings here, and 4 of my nephews and my 2 nieces, can be very tiring and stressful.) I think I only have to work four hours in the morning. Maybe I can be really slow with the opening stuff and I won't have to clean cages.

Was sunnier and warmer here today too!

... Record high temperature tied today at Minneapolis...

The high temperature at Minneapolis international Airport reached a
balmy 46 degrees on this last day in January. This was enough
to tie the previous record set on the 31st of January 1995.

I am a very fortunate person. I have a wonderful family and truly sweet and funny children.

Tonight I was telling my 6 year old about gardinia plants and that they grow in warm climates. I said if we go to South Carolina, we could probably find some. She said "Is that near North Carolina?" and I said, "Yes, Just below North Carolina." and she said "What, it is underground underneath it?" OMG kids are so literal!

My 2 year old runs around the kitchen in the morning saying "eed da ish" over and over, letting me know she wants to feed the fish. So cute.

and I have the cutest baby ever (and yes, I am biased!)

Puffy , when I was little (we live in Florida) we used to fly to new england and when my parents said we were going UP north I thought it was "UP" in the sky somewhere :)

My ray of sunshine is Sev and counting down the days to our wedding cruise! :D

T minus 63 days...

My ray of sunshine is Hooked Newbie, and the countdown to the wedding day, and also the countdown to the end of March, when we can finally live together. It's going to be extremely hectic for both of us up until then, but I am SO looking forward to the end result- I get to marry my best friend. :)

My other ray of sunshine is my dogs.
