Whee! There go some plants. I love the ornate tetras; the lemons look confused by all their display activity, lol. Zoom!

I'm glad you moved the spray bar. Maybe if it wasn't white against the black background. In my tanks I can often ignore stuff like that but in others' tanks I notice. Do as I say, not as I do? Yeah...

Some changes done. Added some curly willow branches and dried bamboo leaves.

And some mediocre group shots of the inhabitants

Little bit of a rearrangement :)

Been quiet on my end mostly, busy with kid finishing school for the year

This tank has been doing well, fish have been very active with lots of pre-planning activity from the cories, but no eggs yet.

The ornate tetras have spawned a couple times though, but eggs get eaten of course.

Heaters have been shut off with summer temps, we've also been experiencing a heat wave off and on for the last while.

Forever rearranging lol
This tank is doing alright, lost my Farlowella Platorynchus pair though to the high heat and a couple ember tetras.

I have added a female bristlenose though.

Some pics of her. Kid named her Flippy.

My other tanks on the other hand have had losses as well and one tank dealing with secondary problems due to the heat as well, but luckily the heat broke last week. But since June tank temps have soared into the 90sF with heaters off and with air conditioner on. Water changes brought little relief as well as water came out of tap hot.

You have my sympathies on your fish losses. I haven't lost any fish (yet?) but I managed to melt most of my "good plant tank" last water change. I don't know if it was a temp thing or maybe I forgot dechlor...it looks terrible!

I forget, why is the left end so dark? I don't feel like reading 6 pages ATM...

The light I have is a 30" light, was covering the 20g long but then unexpectedly was able to upgrade to this 55 gallon, which is 48" long, so I keep the light over the plant side lol its not big enough to span the full tank, and frankly couldn't be bothered to buy a light a little longer when the one I have does the job just has different placement lol

I could place the light dead center but the farthest plants at the edge would miss out on light, so I have the light placed more towards the right side. Which is fine, the lighting is fun

I'm sorry for your losses, the heat is getting stronger and stronger, I have taken more precautions now that my saltwater fish got sick, I had a busy few weeks and sometimes I forgot to leave the air conditioning on, so I had to take out and medicate in the hospital tank but luckily everything is in order now, i like the shaded area of your tank as it makes it look more natural, cute pleco too and it seems like your plants are always in order :)
