While I like the moody look, I only see fish in the dark half. I bet some go to the green side :)

Flippy is looking cute! But I can't tell where in the tank Flippy may be. Is she like Carmen San Diego (where in the world)? Maybe too old for you to get...

No I know that reference, though vaguely.

She's hard to find in the tank pic, usually she's on the sword plant--her favorite spot. In the pic she's on one of the river rocks beside the moneywort to the left of the sword.

The cories and ember tetras use the planted side, the larger tetras like the dim area with the branches overhead lol

Scape has changed again, unfortunately because I had to rescue Flippy the pleco.
She managed to get herself tangled up in fishing line I had holding the hydrocolotyle in place and she needed immediate help and unfortunately had to move all of the plants and wood to manage to catch her.

She's been helped, now needs wounds to heal. Poor girl is shredded. It was wrapped around her head and over one pectoral fins.

How i found her
20220909_211835.jpg

After catching her and cutting it off of her using baby nail clippers.

Plecos are tough fish though, so I expect her to heal well. Now just keeping water clean and adding tannins to help prevent infection.

Photos of the new layout will be taken later tonight.

She was pretty lively this evening and the wounds look less inflamed already. I have high hopes for her

Oh forgot, some cruddy photos of the tetras lol

They've been looking great. One of the ornate tetras developed the nice fancy fins the males get. Really love these tetras, I think they're just so beautiful and provide a lot of activity to the tank when they get going. And they look good both in the dim light and the brighter light.
