Starting up Saltwater! Woo!

They say a green lens works too...but I found the red one to be best!

Good pics but honetsly I am having a hard time IDing that. The multiple polyps look like favia, a deflated candy or some type of lobo brain but the rim looks more like a chalice.

Best pic I could find of a favia that looks similar. http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?c=2733+8&ddid=104452

Curious what other think but it looks like it has some potential. If it survives it definitely has potential to be a very nice coral. Good colors. You may eventually want to frag it off that skeleton.

It like glows green in the middle. It's really cool. When I go back to the lfs, I'll try get the proper name and research it. How would I go about fraging it? There are probably 3-4 peices.

Thanks :)

I just remembered something from the SW I tried to start b4....my brittle star!! It stayed hidden pretty much always, but it was fun to take a small piece of scallop and hold it down by where it was hiding, it's leg would slide out and take it from my fingers!!!

Ok, so little things entertain me :D

i must try that! i can only see two of his legs at most :P

The brittle star ate :) it was cool.

And I have a flipping mantis shrimp!!! I can't catch it! Grr.

Well I caught the little s**t. It was only small so no threat but I'm guessing it is better to get it out now then later :)

I love the brittle star. I played tugg-o-war with it and a peice of shrimp.. Haha :)

Ah ha, Blasto! Think you're right, although not a "phyllia" :). Nice investigative work!

What did you do with the mantis?
