We're hoping enough signatures will maybe let the DEC allow Chris to keep Rocky. Maybe work out a system such as a grandfather permit, or something along those lines so Rocky can live out the last of his life in peace.
The point is that it's this dude's fish that he's had for 10 years and he's really attached to the thing and hell, worse things have been grandfathered in (**coughmutilatingchimpcough**) so there's no reason this can't be an exception to the rule. It's not just a fish, it's his fish. That's like saying someone you love and care about is just another person and easily disposable because there are so frickin' many of us. Which may be the case to a stranger, but not to you, and not to anyone who can sympathize with you. Dig?
Added your post to my local reef club site. Yes, Even salties have hearts. Well, except for Niko.
It would be my guess it is simply a matter of living in seperate countries that is causing the misunderstanding. These things actually do work. The sheriff in my county has been brought up on 22 different federal charges. One person decided to circulate a petition and after seeing that almost 5000 people signed for his resignation, I am sure it's not the ONLY reason, but he resigned. It's all about politicians doing what they think will keep them in office a little longer as someone else has already said.LOL...thats along the lines i was thinking about..
I can understand that CCM..thanks....BUT...what is this going to achieve? Ok, fair enough, if it was this.. " If you get 1000 signatures, we WILL give the fish a new home "....but its not....or...." If you get 1000 signatures, we will change a certain law "....but, again, its not...these are the reasons why i dont follow why a petition is running or what its going to achieve.....must be because i am not a resident of the US and cant comprehend what this will achieve...sorry...
