Also, the comets are likely to eat all the food before the slower moving orandas get to it. It's better not to mix fancy goldfish with comets.

I haope you dont have predatory birds or animals around. They will wipe out slower moving fish like Orandas.

Then you should be ok with orandas. I would add some mosquito fish or something to eat the bugs..

Rosey Barbs are cool and do well in outdoor ponds as well. Plus you get to see the red flashes as they dart to and fro.

My pond is about 500 gallons and I have 3 koi and 5 goldfish. The koi are 18", 15", and 12". It took the biggest one about 4 years to reach 15" but after that it's slowed down alot. They *can* get 3 feet long, but it takes a really long time.
