What would you like to see in a lfs?

Healthy happy fish with large well cared fore tanks. No dead fish in them not even the feeder tanks.

I agree, Fishfriend. I'll definitely do my best on that. I hate seeing tons of sick fish. Last time I went to my local, unnamed big box store, I was appalled. I counted at least 4 different diseases, and every other tank had dead fish in it. Worst of all, they had 3 DISCUS in one side of a divided 10 gallon tank.
I also hate seeing dead fish.

Drop dead gorgeous, scantily clad females who really know about fish.

I keep trying!

loaches of the smaller variety other than the well known clown. kubotai, striata, yo yo, histrionica to name a few. also cold water loaches, gold dojos and regular weather.
cories adolfoi, true julii, sterbai, habrosus and pygmy (i'd love to see hastasus but good luck with that one), aggasizzi, blacks
live cultures or start cultures or even just selling live food such as worms, brine shrimp etc

My suggestion is to get some system in place for new owners, for example run some tanks with extra media, filters and the like so you can educate new owners about the importance of cycling and be able to speed that process up for them. Provide some leaflets with info detailing the testing required, the kits etc, potential fish stocks for different kinds of tank, and set up some tanks that better reflect how you might have them in your home, not just tanks with all one kind in them

Display tanks! Sales tanks are cool and all, but some really well setup and maintained display tanks can really help get people excited about their tanks.

bristlenose plecos (LF too) and a huge selection of inverts
plants

those get my vote :)

:iagree:

I would also like to see all tanks with sick fish being treated as soon as they are found to be sick.
