why must it happen to me?

but i do like 30 - 40 percent water changes once a week or more usually

ill test it again to make shure

during the cycle, you need to do water changes more often than that. once a week is OK after the tank is mature. but during this period, your fish are very vulnerable. water changes are the best way to get rid of toxic ammonia and nitrites. i've gone through periods where I'll do 2-3 water changes EVERYDAY (I have 3 tanks, used to be 4) for 3 weeks.

be prepared that after the ammonia is gone, you'll see nitrites (also toxic). It's a lot of work, but your fish will thank you for it :)

how frequent?

40-50% daily should do it. and if your tank isn't new, try to locate the source. is your tank OS? hom much do you feed? have you cleaned your filter lately?

well, if your tank has been running since june, it's not really new. and I think your tank is OverStocked, since that blood parrot will outgrow it.
