during the time this goldfish was in quarantine, did it receive any medicated food or anything to handle possible internal parasites (camallanus, etc.)
You should NOT go by the 1 inch rule, as it is obsolote these days.
The number of Africans depends on what kind of Africans are you thinking of getting? and what kind of filtration do you have.
i definitely would not feed any bugs found around the house, as they can be exposed to numerous chemicals that can harm your fish. I'd go with pet store crickets and earthworms.
the dempseys are probably being aggressive towards the blood parrots, and considering the size of the tank, there isn't too much territory to go around.
None of those are South American cichlids, but to answer your question, you most likely won't get all those fish together in that tank once they reach adulthood, due to aggression, especially the first three on the list.
1) Mbuna are much more agressive than your average Altolamprologus.
2) they grow slower than most mbuna, which makes things worse.
3) mbunas are typically vegetarian, altolamps. are not.
Sounds pretty incompatible to me.
