    WTB Dario Dario and Galaxies

If you can't find a member that has them, check http://www.franksaquarium.com/. If he has female Dario Dario, he may be able to sell you pairs of them. He's really nice and easy to work with, so he may be able to sell you pairs of each. He has both in stock according to his website (assuming you...

    HC

What substrate are you using? That may be part of the problem. :D I agree....its going to be hard to have it all stay in the substrate with the Cories. Use some tweezers and shove it as far as you can in the substrate.....some of it can be covered up. Then just replant what they uproot...

Any reputable online stores for Malawi Cichlids?

Aquabid.com also has a variety of Malawians. Check the seller's feedback before bidding. :)

    Are grow bulbs neccesary?

You may not have enough wattage. Kelvin rating (what the "grow" name is based on) isn't the most important aspect. What type of plants do you have and how many watts is your bulb?

    My Cory

If it is truly an Emerald Cory (not really a Cory, but Brochis splendens) I hope you have a nice sized tank. They get a plump 3-4". If your tank is under 40g, I'd take him back and pick up a group of a smaller species.

    Questions on ada soil

The suggestions on the adgshop.com site are pretty accurate. About 12 liters for a 20g. I used 6L in a 10g when I had it setup and added about 3/4 of a 9L bag to it when I moved it all to a 20 long....so I guess I ended up with about 12-13 liters. I used about 3 9L bags for my 40 breeder...

    Questions on ada soil

You can use just the Aquasoil alone. Some people use powersand as well, which is like extra nutrients, but its not necessary. Don't top it with anything either....just use it alone. :) Its pretty small in size, so perfect for a shrimp tank. Eco Complete does not lower pH and may actually...

    empty 10 gallon

Neons need a bit more room than a 10g can provide. Move those 10 to a 30g tank and you'll see much different behavior, IME. ;) For a 10g, Ember tetras would be great. Also, if you can find Microrasboras, they'd be good as well. Harlies are ok, though they are pretty active. A 20g would be a...

    Restocking my 55.

Angels will likely outcompete the Discus for food, so they aren't good tankmates. Also the high temperatures that Discus need aren't good for alot of fish. Rainbows prefer a lower temp than Discus, so I wouldn't keep them together. Rams are fine with Discus and Sterbai Cories are the only ones...

how is this sand for a freshwater 75g tank?

I suggest pool filter sand. Its pretty cheap. I paid about $8 for a 50lb bag. :) Some people have paid less for it. Look at pool supply places.

    how is this 140 gal?

75g tanks are 48" long, 18" wide, and about 22" tall. I'd add atleast an inch to each of those for a little extra space when you make the hole....maybe even a couple inches. :D

here is the tank i am getting. i'm picking it up this weekend. what do you think?

I'd choose the 75g that InTr4nceWeTrust linked to over the 70g. I'm just not a fan of acrylic tanks though....they get scratched easier. And lights for a Mbuna tank are cheap.......just get a shop light from your local hardware store or a single T12 fluorescent fixture from one of the online...

    Camera Lens Advice Needed

That price seems a little too cheap to me. I've read that if it seems too cheap, its probably not good quality. I have a Canon Powershot S5 IS and have been looking into macro lenses. The good ones usually run around $50 for my camera. I've read alot on various photography forums to make sure...

I just got a bunch of plants for my tank, but. . .

If you put the plants in your Mbuna tank, they will most likely get eaten. I used to feed my Mbuna duckweed. :)

The Puffers will probably eat/kill your shrimp. :) I'd go with the Sparkling Gouramis if you can get them, or Killies(eggs) . Those might eat baby shrimp though.

Anyone seen a place to buy Dwarf Loaches?

Dwarf Chain Loaches? Or just dwarf-ish loaches in general? Assuming you are in the US, Frank's Aquarium has Dwarf Chain Loaches. Scroll way down on that page and you'll see them.

    foreground plant

How much light do you have? If you want something that won't spread alot, Crypts or Anubias would be good, especially in low light. Carpeting plants will spread, but you can control them by trimming and moving them out of areas you don't want them in. Most carpeting plants need atleast medium...

good alge eater for a 10g

^^Hehe. :) Yeah, I wouldn't suggest Otos in a 10g, because they like to shoal, so you really need 3+ for them to be happy. Thats a bit much for a 10g when you have other fish in the tank. I'd suggest snails, or finding the type of algae you have and fixing the problem. If you don't have...
