1st REAL planted tank (10g) log! (Picture heavy)

ehh.. make the wall not go all the way down to the tank since at your lighting it will just not grow. I gave up on my moss wall a while back after it started growing bba :headshake2:

That is why I was flipping in regularly, to try to keep growth even. I guess I will have to make it shorter.

At this rate I would consider giving up on it but I like the idea of the moss wall for several reason 1.) a controlled area of moss. 2.) when it gets debris filled I can remove it for cleaning. 3.) I can also remove it for trimming, no little moss pieces floating around the tank!

So I will play with it later and give it another shot.

*EDIT* I will probably also split the anubias rhizome. It has like 21 leaves on it! (and a flower!!!) Which is about double what it had when I first put it into this tank. Maybe I should wait till after it flowers though.

I got tons of plants for the cost of shipping (thanks petluvr!) so the tank had to be adjusted a little bit.

As of this morning

Now I still have more L. Sessliflora, the small java ferns & a LOT of HM that still need to find it's place in the tank. Got too tired to finish tonight. I also have a small pressurized CO2 setup coming soon, woohoo! So more changes to come! Filtration will most likely change, I am getting a smaller heater, I do not like the spacing of the foreground plants & I don't like the crypt being so close to the nice pink sunset hygro. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Looks good but it seems your moss wall has stalled? It doesn't seem to have grown in a month or so but I haven't tried one. I know moss sometimes takes forever to look like it's doing anything then...OMG it's taking over.

I'm interested to see the HM. My ambulia (L. sess. ) only looked good for a while at 2w/gal but is great in my 3w/g shrimp tank. I like it much better than cabomba.

I'm also jealous about the CO2, that'll be so cool!

Thanks everyone. I did not get to play with this tank today, super busy with family/Christmas stuff!

The moss wall was taken down, cut up, shortened and replaced. That is why it is bare now. I am really not sure if I am going to use the HM, I might just float it. I hate planting plants and those are so small! :)

I am also not sure how the Ambulia OR the sunset hygro are going to do in this tank but we will see.

you'll love the dwarf sag...mine spreads like a wild fire. Awesome job

The HM is just floating for now till I find the courage to try to plant it.

Dwarf sag has not liked my tank without ferts & excel (which I do not do anymore).
