7.5 gallon betta tank

I picked up an adorable little betta and I moved my 4 amano shrimp from my 40 to this tank. Tank is heated to a steady 78°F. The betta’s name is Rufus.

I moved Rufus to my 40 gallon a few weeks ago and left the shrimp in the tank. But I did order another betta and he arrived this morning. He’s very similar to one I had 11 years ago. He’s a purple salamander butterfly halfmoon, decided to name him Chaos.

Should I use fluben-something or Panacur wormer for cats for my fishes to treat them for gill flukes, internal worms/parasites? Going to my local pet store tomorrow. At least i think i do >~< or im just giving up with fish overall,

Sharp looking fish! All these threads on bettas and gouramis have made me want to give them a go. I just find it so hard to break from what I really know, i.e. mainly cichlids. I'm old and set in my ways, lol. A creature of habit.
