7.5 gallon betta tank

Sharp looking fish! All these threads on bettas and gouramis have made me want to give them a go. I just find it so hard to break from what I really know, i.e. mainly cichlids. I'm old and set in my ways, lol. A creature of habit.

IME bettas die easily just of how overbred they, i sould recommend sparklers. These are hard to kill IMO.

If you get them from a good source they shouldn’t Have many issues. I stopped buying bettas from chain stores and order them online from places that import or breed them.

You are likely to enjoy wild bettas more.
There are plenty of options when it comes to conservation too.

I know! Some awesome fish there! I really like B. smaragdina and B. albimarginata! The smaragdina actually remind me of bettas I kept before bettas were as crazy fancy as they are now. I'm embarrassed to say it's almost a sentimental feeling, as in going back to a simpler time! ?

I want to try wilds but currently have no open space unless I put them in my 40 but don’t think they’ll like the angels.
Just say the word.. we can spare a handful..

Likely a 20g tank too.

An extra tank will probably be put into storage, no room unless I talk my grandma into setting up a small tank in the dining room in memory of my grandpa. He loved my one tank when it was downstairs.

My problem is, and always has been, that there are soooo many things I want to do. I used to just add another tank. But with a full fish room with 50+ tanks, there's no room in the fishroom and any attempt to add another tank will lead to divorce at best and murder (mine) at worst...
