7.5 gallon betta tank

Honestly if I were you I’d make it extremely planted and get a mahachaiensis betta and *mabye* a baby half banded spiny eel. Mine only uses like a 1 square foot section of the tank and that’s how big the 7g is (he’s like 5-6” rn and is doing awesome. I’d probably upgrade him to a 15 as he grows in your situation they are very sedentary and only reach 6-ish inches)

If I get a spiny eel, it’s going immediately into my 40 breeder. I plan for a wild betta for my 14 gallon and put my old man betta in the 7.5 gallon with shrimp. He’s not an aggressive betta and ignores his snail friends and tetras.

I agrees, spiny eels should immediately go bigger fish tanks

My plants came in, the swords are a little sad but that happens. I glued moss, fern and anubias to the drift wood. And put the substrate in. It’s a bit cloudy but should clear by tonight.

I’ll post an updated picture later once it’s clear. I added around 10-20mL of biological bacteria to the tank.

Yay! ^^ i found nice piece of wood on eBay, it was so impossible to get the fb wood but getting my dragon stones tomorrow 100% this time LOL

Tank has cleared up nicely and the plants look great.
