This amazing high definition video takes an up close look at the miracle of birth. You will see a gravid female guppy ( technically it's a female Orchid Endler ) giving birth to her 37 babies. Thank you for taking the time to watch my video. livebearers have a great reproductive strategy. Well-developed young ready to take care of themselves from the get-go ( ovoviviparity), and with superfetation the females are pretty much permanently pregnant.
Plus no need for elaborate courtship rituals, nest defending, little male involvement, etc. .
