Buying a new tank?

150lbs of base rock and 240lbs of sand ordered today yay! Now to figure out the sump get a protein skimmer (watching craigs and ebay for a good used deal) and to find a RODI filter and i can get this tank fired up! Oh and 30ish lbs of live rock.

Two things I rarely see on CL decent skimmers its always someone selling off their mistake, like a coralife, sea prizm, etc. and RODI's.

Spectrapure usually sells refurb units for like $120 which isn't a bad deal, and sometimes BRS has their units for $20-30 off on a holiday, probably memorial day being the next sale.

I see a bunch of recommended brands on Craigs locally here unfortunately they are mostly for like 60gal systems im not going to by 5 skimmers to get the job done lol

I got the glass today and MAN am I amazed at the detail they took in shipping it. I ordered the glass online thru Elite Custom Glass. 2013-04-29_18-23-02_480.jpg2013-04-29_18-29-31_886.jpg2013-04-29_18-25-23_871.jpg2013-04-29_18-25-28_261.jpg2013-04-29_18-29-25_691.jpg

Please let me know if I am forgetting anything I need?

refractometer, couple brute containers for water will come in handy, one for pure rodi one for mixed sw. Depending on your rockscape plans maybe some epoxy.

Whats the output on the wavemakers and powerheads?

im not sure the output I will look tomorrow when im off work and post.. I do have a refractometer that's one of the things I forgot to list.

Definitely progressing well.

FWIW, you may find that 180 lbs of rock will take up a lot of space. Don't feel like you have to hit 1 lb/gallon. If anything, you can put a couple of pieces of rock in your sump.

You will want a pump to mix saltwater with. Doesn't have to be anything special as long as it has enough flow to mix the salt in your container.

Well its now down to the ASM G-4x or the Bubble magnus NAC-7 anyone care to give me a reason to go one vs the other?
