Whenever someone talks about movies on here, it always reminds me of that Princess Bride thread..........

Actually, here in San Angelo, TX we went 2 straight years without a homicide about 5-7 years ago. We also have very low kidnap rates. Violent crimes in general are fairly low. The town is about 100,000 people, but there is no Interstate Highway, so narcotic traffic isn't too bad.

When I added the sarcastic comment about having to live on a farm to get away from crime, I was talking about specifically living in Florida. :D

Anyway, here is the data for your town in Texas...

I would like to register a complaint with whoever is in charge of the distribution of snow here this winter. Southern IL got about 18 inches..The Chicago area maybe a foot...we in Central IL got maybe 6" before Thanksgiving, and have only had measley bits since. Other people have been getting our snow I'm sure. I want to get snowed in so I don't ahve to go to work!!! :sad BWWaAAHH!!!
( I just won't tell then I have a 4wd suv at work :D )

I'm in tahoe..........that should pretty much say it all. Almost 20 feet in the higher elevations and about 10 at lake level. spinning do-nutz is a lot cheaper in the snow than on dry pavement (less gas, less tire wear less momentum needed and therefore less damage when you crash) I just got my 4x4 this summer for the bad days but i still drive my datsun z once the plows come thru. can you say positractiondoublewhiteroostertails? people think im nutz, they look at me like i'm outta controll. but its better to know how to controll a slide BEFORE it happens, then to try and figure it out the first time when you are about to crash into someone!!

I know I'm kinda late, but I've just gotta throw my hat in too. Snow is awful awful awful awful stuff! Awful I say! I'd burn it all if I could...still trying to figure that one out. Anyway, terrible stuff. Did I mention snow is awful?

Can't see much use for snow....
