Mafia 61: The Gunslinger - Game Thread

Okay,

I've looked at all of Ag's posts again. Like I said before... I've lost perspective and found myself unable to reread the whole thread. So I'm going one at a time... which is what I do best anyway.

Ag, here's my concerns. I'm going to give you one last chance to defend yourself. Keep in mind, if you are indeed innocent it is your RESPONSIBILITY to defend yourself well. You are the whole town's top suspect and if I shoot you, we lose. And I swear if you use the word "vanilla" in your response I'm going to shoot the gas pump and blow up the whole town. :22_yikes:

1. Your posting style changed dramatically toward the end of the game. I counted myself, and well over half your posts were over the last two days. Right after you got called out hard for being non-participatory. You called out Razz for changing his posting style between games, then you change yours drastically within the game. Seems to me like you might be jumping in more now to cause trouble.

2. You jumped on Razz (innocent) EARLYand just wouldn't let go. Yes, you listed Annie early on, but I can't find any where that you actually even tossed a casual question that way. Care to pull a post and prove me wrong?

3. You are all over the place with the things you've said. First you jump on Razzle... convinced he's scummy. Then, you stated that when given the chance you would (and this was on 2nd thought) shoot Zsand?! WTF? I know you answered this before, but I'm giving you another shot at it.

4. My biggest concern: I opened up the window with everyone's post count. I clicked on the number next to your name (33), and I didn't even have to leave that screen to read every word you've posted in the game. With Jpap (I'm not looking forward to doing all that work... :jaw-dropping I know that nearly every post I'll have to go back into the thread and read them. What I'm saying is... ignoring post count, the actual amount of information you've provided the town is in the negatives. Any thoughts here?

Take this seriously, Ag. If you are innocent like you claim, you lose the game for us if you don't.

1. My posting style changed dramatically because I was thinking that it was getting close to the time when I would be shot and needed to shoot someone. Since I was posting more, I was more interested in this game and began to see some theories that might convince people that I am really a townie (which I am), and that either Jpap or Labby are the mafia. I have to be honest, I hadn't read every post in this thread until this morning. I had only read parts here and there. I was thinking there was not much need for me to, since everyone playing is more experienced than myself and would probably not find my posts very helpful.

2. My list of suspects early on was sort of based off what other people were posting. I didn't know what Annie was, and didn't have any clue whether she was mafia or not. I jumped onto Razz because I thought that him viewing the thread for awhile, and taking a long time to get a post out there was suspicious. Plus, his posting style was very much different from the previous game, but of course mine is now too.

3. I went on to Zsand because most other people playing are very much more skilled then I and they all seemed to think he was scum. I decided that if I was shot, I would shoot him because I was pretty sure he would shoot Razz, since Razz was his top suspect. He ended up choosing Dawg (or was it Dawg that shot Zsand...can't remember) anyway. I wasn't sure if Razz would of shot Zsand or not. I was pretty sure at the time that either Razz or Zsand had to be the final mafia since everyone thought one of them or me was the last mafia. And I know I am not the last one.

4. Again, as I stated before, I have not provided much information to help out the town because I thought that anything I could of come up with wouldn't of helped much. Since, after all, everyone playing this game has more experience, and most people playing know the playing styles of others. I do not.

I don't expect you to believe this. You'll probably find more things that make me sound like mafia then Jpap and Lab. So, I'll end up being shot and being the one to blame for having thw town loose.

Really in rereading Labby's posts, I'm having trouble finding questions that haven't already been answered to one degree or another. And most of them satisfy me. I don't get that anxiety feeling in the center of my chest.

Early on, the thing about "it would be fun to be gunslinger" was brought up. At this point, that seems like more an honest answer than anything. I was mafia with her last game, and I know that she knows how to plan and lay low. If she was "strategizing" (as opposed to just posting honest feelings) she would never have made such a slip as this. Although one thing still bothers me: you've never had to answer for posting that picture! :silly:

At this point, I'm more or less letting Labby off the hook. If you are indeed the last mafia, BRAVO and mg:.

How do you keep mafia scum in suspense?

IDK, how?

By the way, this whole part just killed me... :rofl::laugh::rofl::thud:

As a side note, it was only as I was re-reading Labby's posts that I ran across Zombie Kash's second post. Zombie Kash is funny!

Take your time. Just remember that when Labby and Jpap see it, they'll probably pick it apart. Especially since one of them is mafia.

Who would you shoot, Ag? And more importantly, why? Your thoughts ARE helpful, noob or not. You said you read through the whole thread today. What are your real thoughts about the other 2 players?

Here is the interaction between Jpap and Annie on day 1. I think it's pages 4-15ish. I'm going to go as far as to say that this is the reason I'm still suspicious of Jpap. I'll also say that my suspicion is small, but I can't ignore it. I encourage you to go back and read all 10ish pages for context, but I understand that people have school and such, so I've quoted it here. Keep in mind below I've cut out many of Jpap's posts that were addressing Dawg, Kash, and topics not related to Annie. That's why I encourage you to read that section again. I haven't bolded anything or posted any comments as I don't want to sway anyone's response.

Jpap, I'm dying to hear your thoughts. Really what I'm looking for is something to quell a nervous twinge. But I'll be interested to see what you say.

Why would it be fun to be the gunslinger??? Especially the first one??? Its almost a shot in the dark, especially if the mafia plan is to lay low and let the people posting the most get themselves killed....welcome to my scum meter LB.

I'm glad I'm not the Gunslinger, but if I was I might shoot you. :shocked:

Thanks for the compliments Ice but I consider you the most dangerous player in the game. Im not surprised you were chosen since odds are you will be dead within the 48 hours.

But I do think that shooting the lowest poster is a valid action if nothing better shows up.


You would be dead and then I would be stuck in the same situation. Since you listed me as a someone you believe to be a good player I would hope that you wouldnt take the chance of killing yourself then handing the reigns over to me...although the odds are better I would likely choose another innocent and die myself. Not a good move for the town.




Hmmm...Lab seems pretty confident that having the gunslinger role would be fun while everyone else seems to abhor the role. Is this because you know that you'll never be given the chance???

Well Jpap, in this game and this format, I'd have to say I agree with you, Ice was their (your) best choice.

I also agree with Ice, Kash or you would have been a better choice. My top three would be Kash, Jpap, Ice, in that order, unless of course Jpap and Kash were on my team.

If Ice shot me now, I'd shoot you or Kash next. Wanna know why? Ask.

Annie...I'm very curious as to why you see me and Kash are better choices than Ice. As of now I see Ice as a wash, a dangerous player but has a reputation of being bad when good. So I wouldn't choose him first, but not scratch him off the list entirely. Since choosing the gunslinger is basically the equivalent of hitting someone just w/o it being 100%, I would likely choose a middle of the road player just for the sake of it. Theres a chance they will die and for the most part it could be considered random since its not a high profile player. My first choices would be along the lines of Zaffy or Dawg or Rich. All are skilled players but arent overly talkative. Keeping Ice or Kashta around would help me personally fit in more since they usually post more like I tend to do. Getting rid of low posters is sort of unproductive seeing as they are not a threat. I dont think picking Ice was the smartest idea, so maybe picking me or Kashta would be considered better (not the best though), but why do you think that?

I guess that was my plug to get people going early. Don't think I was trying to get by or give up anytime soon, quite the opposite. I hope I'm proven wrong.

Anyways, I'm looking mainly at Lab. The way he(?) responded to Ice's question was weird and they fit the profile of the person I would most expect to choose Ice at this point. Annie also has me concerned but I'm still expecting a response. More tomorrow...

Annie, you say that Kash and I are better choices. Are you then saying that because Ice was chosen, and we werent, that we were the mafia who chose Ice? Is that why you would shoot us next?

My list would be:

Annie- not sure if mafia, but has me concerned. I think he's a great hit choice, personally.
Lab- that post about wanting to be gunslinger was off. Could be one to choose Ice.
Razz- a no show so far but is viewing
Zaffy/JB- either one fits the mold I laid out of who may have chosen Ice. Neither has done anything notoriously scummy but it strikes me odd that JB and I have been on the same page for the most part. I might just be paranoid but I'm interested in what he has to say next after posting "more later."

Basically for the same reason as you think I make a good choice. If your evil, thats great, your very sneaky when you are, if not, at least the town could trust you to kick in some doors.



You and Kash are better choices because you're both very logical, and analytical. Best to make you chose while there is as little data for you to chose.



It makes me wonder if you werent chosen over Ice because you were the one choosing. Hmmmmmmmmm.....

Annie, this is scummy. You want me and Kash, who you consider to be the biggest threats, out of the town without considering what may happen if we're innocent. Oh, so you would feel fine if we were given the gun? I dont think so. You said it yourself, as mafia you would want us to be given the role early when we have little to go on. Thats completely contradictory. Since you have no real proof suggesting that me and Kash are mafia you come to the weak reasoning that since we weren't chosen that we were the ones choosing. That could be turned on ANY PLAYER other than Ice. I remember a few games back some people were trying to argue that since Ice wasn't hit night one that he was mafia...please...





I agree with this. Maybe in the post where you "vote" for your hit you could explain your reasoning. Otherwise we would be lost as to why you chose that...if they're mafia it could lead somewhere else, and if innocent maybe clear some things up.

Well, DD isn't here so I do feel lost on Day 1...

I dont like how Ice's list is so different than mine. I hope he knows what he is doing better than I do. What I do like is that he playing with more of an "outsider" style, rather than get into a heated argument and end up shooting an innocent over a meaningless scuffle. This almost goes without saying but the gunslinger needs to be careful about such things as emotion and revenge (ahem, Kash).

There was one other thing in particular that Jpap said that stuck with me, I'll go back a little later and find it.
