New shots... SE Asian and African biotope tanks

aww i really liked the wood in the african tank. It gave the scape some height.
Other than that everything looks sweet. Though dont be ashamed of your cut up lawn, post it proudly! we want to see!

LOL BK, yes it looked great but with the new stock coming a little more rockwork helps more. Don't worry, I'm holding on to that bad boy... its likely to make a reappearance at some point.

Love that tank!

Tang stock (finally and officially) placed from Daves in San Anton'

3 Altolamp calvus Kipili "Zebra"
2 Altolamp comp Lufubu "Dark Red"
2 Altolamp comp Mwela "Orange"
2 synodontis lucipinnis (petricola) 2.3-3 inches each

Delivery next week!

Now all I have to do is buy/wash/place the additional holey rock to get some additional height on the rock stack.

That obsidian looks sweet! Can't wait to see the new additions.

Finally will get some life in that boring tank.. lol i keed i keed
Where you getting the holy rock? ebay or local landscape yard?

I don't... it's true! I love my bichir but he has made stocking this tank a major pain in the arse.

Nah, the holey is dirt cheap here at the local rockshop/quarry.

Thanks Inka, I'm liking the rock field as well but its more about what's best for the fish right now. A little extra height before the new additions arrive and we'll be golden.

Yeah, I've read in other threads about the problems your Bichir poses to the other fish. I was looking forward to you ordering some Cyps. I want to order some as well but I've heard that they don't ship well.
Your stocking plan sound great, seems to be all Altos and catfish. No Julies? Trets? Cylindricus? You could accommodate some larger fish in that setup, such as Sexfasciatus.
