New shots... SE Asian and African biotope tanks

Yeah, I've read in other threads about the problems your Bichir poses to the other fish. I was looking forward to you ordering some Cyps. I want to order some as well but I've heard that they don't ship well.
Your stocking plan sound great, seems to be all Altos and catfish. No Julies? Trets? Cylindricus? You could accommodate some larger fish in that setup, such as Sexfasciatus.

Yes, its been months of research/thought. The worst possible outcome is for the the new specimens to become feeders, so I wanted to stick (initially) with what I knew was likely to work (i.e. altolamps as he has left the Muzi Golds alone). If all goes well, I will add some sexfasciatus! I would also like to add in a few orange leleupi, but with their cylindrical shape I am concerned that they will become a pricey snack. If all goes well, I'll pick up a few from the LFS for stocking round #3. Julies are a no-go for sure for the same reason I passed on the cyps: too small for too long.

That planted tank is really awesome! I could stare at it for hours.

Yeah, Sexis grow fast compared to most Tangs I've had. I see them at decent size every now and then around here. I never see adult Altos, though.
