Newbie raising some fish

I have top fin water conditioner. And my filter removes metals and chlorine and other chemicals. But I’ll treat it as directed till some chemist figures something out. Lol

My husband IS a chemist, but we treat our tank water like it's treated to 1ppm chloramines or so. It's much better safe than sorry. Prime is cheap, don't be pound foolish about such a thing that can harm your fish...& no, he won't try to parse your water...or ours, lol.

Yeah true, haha. Topfin is my go to since it’s abdundant in stores around here. Also, I got aquafin+?

Ill put another positive out for seachem prime. Switched after my tetra brand dechlorinator ran out. Its stinky but works great! Think all my bottled products are seachem now haha.

Now that we see your tank, I'm going to make a suggestion. How about a java fern attached to the rock (with thread or gel super glue) where the right most kisser is? That will add some height & allow a "territory barrier" of sorts. Java ferns are super easy under almost any light & come in a few leaf shapes.

Disclaimer: I belong to plant club & think everyone needs some live plants ;) , even you newbies! Think about it!

Yeah I have 2 wistora or whatever on the right and one indica restora on the left new one I just got. What glue should I use to attach the fern?

Should I replace the rock for driftwood? Or is the rock good cause of the SAE’s?

So driftwood?

And my nitrates are always high. Is that normal with a Fish in cycle?
