The good news is if youre seeing nitrite, youre getting farther into the cycle. Soon it will drop off and youll get higher nitrate levels. At that point, youre in the clear.
 
Yeah, I tested just for nitrites this time, since I know what I’m looking for, and it’s gone down drastically to 0.5 ppm on API master fresh test kit meter.
 
You should always test ammonia, nitrite and nitrate when testing imo. Not just one.
 
Tested ammonia. Always good. Nitrate no point since nitrites are higher and gotta do WC anyways.
