 Np, get some pics up of those CPD's soon!
Finally got around to taking some pics. CPDs are squirrelly s.o.b.'s. Also, there are no deaths, but I've yet to see all 9 (my fish guy Ed threw in one free for good luck) at once. Since their addition to the tank this past Thursday, they hide when I get close to the tank, and generally are staying in the lower quadrant of the water column. I did notice, however, just now turning the lights on to take these pictures, the CPDs came out of hiding, think they are starting to get comfy.
I've changed the lighting cycle, just turning the day LEDs on when I'm home - cutting the time lit in half or sometimes better - so hopefully this algae problem will subside.
Also in good news: I ran tests for the first time since pre-addition of fish, and got what I had expected (mostly hoped) for once in my life. 0, 0, 10. Perfection. At this rate, I expect to reach 20+ppm by this Thursday. I'll conduct a water change then, and am thinking of adding about 4-5 more shrimp. Give Rambo some brethren. Plus by that time Ed will have gotten in some black crystals, and other exotic, uncommon skrimps. You local folk really should check out his shop. His intimacy of the hobby show in his selection and services. Offers species uncommonly found in CT.
Sorry for the blurry pics, camera phone, and these guys are quick.
