Started Mini Bow 2.5 Pico Reef!

That's a really cool idea. My filter is much smaller than the one in that thread. It might still work to an extent, but I'm not sure that it would be worth the effort with an Aquaclear mini. Plus, all the rubble I crammed in there is nice for extra bio filtration.

I'm tossing around the idea of starting a 15 or 20H, as I have a 24" Satellite strip that is currently unused.... this might be just the ticket for that project since I also have 2 spare Aquaclear 300's!

Great link, thanks!

I think a small brittle star would look great.

Funny you should mention that RH- I actually have a number of them already! They came in on my mushroom rock that I bought a couple weeks ago, and now they have moved around a bit to some of my other rocks. I haven't seen them come out yet (as I understand it they only come out at night), but I can see their legs sticking out of the rocks during the day. They are really cool!

More pictures? :)

Here are some pics that I took last night. Things are still going really well.

severum, are you still using the 18w coralife for your lighting?
and do you have any night time lighting?
i had a scorpion in a 2.5 gal tank and he decided to stop eating, so after a month he died...
now i have a 2.5g tank sitting around with nothing in it.
just trying to figure how much this tank's gonna set me back.

Yes, I am still using the Coralife light. There's really no reason to upgrade IMO, the strip gives me plenty of light. I don't have any moon lighting at the moment. I may look into it in the future. Thanks for the link!

As for setting up this tank, it was much more expensive than I thought it would be... but really fun, too. I've spent over $200 so far, and I already had the filter and live rock so it would have been more otherwise.

yeah i know the tank will be very expensive. the coral is very pricey.
i will probably set it up with the live rock and maybe a goby like you have. then in a few months after everything has been running good i might buy a coral a paycheck or something like that.
i just can't have an empty fish tank sitting around. even if it sits with only live rock in it for a few months, it's better then sitting with nothing in it.
