So Ulan commented with a mistake I made on the old thread. Thanks for catching this!

"I noticed that you listed the Glowlight Rasbora as Hemigrammus erythrozonus. That is actually the Glowlight Tetra, which will grow to 2". Known as Glowlight Rasbora are either Trigonostigma hengeli or the new Microrasbora sp. "thuzari"."

I realized that I never posted this here:
I listed the Male Celebes Halfbeak (Nomorhamphus liemi) as a species suitable for a ten gallon. However, since then I have heard(but only from one source?) that halfbeaks are schoolers. I have also heard the size of the male may be debated. So I want to caution about that. I don't know enough about halfbeaks.

I have heard some people on this forum comment than 10 gallons is too small for cherry barbs.

There is still some debate around a couple of the dwarf cichlids, I think? Though I've heard keeping these guys in 10 gallons is a common practice amoung singapore fishkeepers.

Oh, I thought you would just edit that one ;). This list is intriguing.

Hmm... Instead of buying a new bigger aquarium, I should probably just get smaller fish. I think my LFS has some ember tetras and some kind of microrasbora. Let's see :).

:) I can't edit the list without PMing a mod, I would rather just redo it at some time than disturb them all the time, lol. I am waaay behind on posting up pics/info, will probably do that later tonight.

Let's get this show on the road, so I don't fall permanently behind on updates.

Danio Choprae, Glowlight danio. Maxes out at around 3 cm ( a little less than an inch) and likes water in the 6.0-7.0 area. According to one site, very rare, but I bet you we could find them, especially since they're selling on frank's aquarium currently, lol.

dwarf-pencilfish.jpg

The Dwarf Pencilfish, Nannostomus marginatus, a schooler who reaches usually reaches around 4 cm, but can reach 5.5cm and is apparently a jumper according to one guy. Likes a PH of neutral or under. Another site suggested that they like tannins.

nannostomus_mortenthaleri.jpg

The Coral Red Dwarf Pencilfish, Nannostomus mortenthaleri. Conflicting info on this one, and it may or may not reach 2 inches, outgrowing a ten gal for a schooler-but wanted to throw this guy out there.

When the only search results that come up are frank's aquarium and this thread, you are dealing with a rare fish-the Epsi Pencilfish! Nannostomus espi

All information found on google.com

Planned Updates:
The rest of the bumblebee gobies
The rest of the suitable rainbows
Cavefish(generally protected)
Swampfish(a type of cavefish? I need to eat)
Landgraf's Tetra(Neolebias ansorgii)
Danio erythromicron

100% wrong.... bigger and bigger aquariums with smaller and smaller fish

Lol! But seriously, a big fish tank filled with these tiny guys would be great, you could come close to emulating a real lake, except with species that have no relation to each other whatesoever geographically.

So I guess a lake in Florida;)

Anyways, medakas range in length from 1.5cm to 4cm. Halfbeaks do need a school, and need females, so I will take them off the list.

So I've decided what I'm going to do, later. I'll gather the edits for the list, ask for them to be put in, and then make another thread with pictures of every species I put up in the same order as the list. That's a bunch of work though, so later!

Landgraf's Tetra(Neolebias ansorgii) is not popular due to its need for high quality water, no tankmates(extremely timid) and little-to-no water movement. Grows to 1''.

Danio erythromicron is a Microrasbora. Been there, covered that! But here's a pic anyway

This is just interesting, the alabama cavefish:

at 1.2-2'' this guy would be great for a 10 gallon-if it wasn't one of the rarest fish in the world. The wild population is estimated to be in the 100s, and it is said to be skittish. Still, a beautiful example of how north american fish can be really frakkin' cool.
