Woods retraction and non revote puzzles the town. They go to look for him and find him dead.

Cause of death is testicular elephantiasis. This was only figured out days later during autopsy. With the naked eye his testicles were no bigger then chickpeas. **** they must have been tiny beforehand lol.

So based on that one exchange, I (the hypothetical non-communicating mafia) was able to deduce that Dawg was a fellow teammate who could communicate? Once again, I'm not psychic.

I don't buy the "I meant to vote ...." thing. Something tells me you didn't read over that mess of a post you submitted but I still find it scummy when a player contradicts themselves within the same sentence or two.

One Journalist's Descent into the Seedy Underworld

This one sounds like they're getting read to tell us a story... this one "sounds" pro-town... maybe with this and subsequent headlines, we'll be able to tell which headline comes from the same writer next time by context... like, if it sounds again like it comes from a reporter who's gone under cover for us.



No Red, I'm not. But when I was the journalist in Wycco's game, it was the first time I didn't screw up a power role by getting myself killed off right away. So I really like the role a lot and I learned a lot having been in this role myself before.

Then in the game following that, us townfolk read way too much into the headlines Wycco was writing when he was the journalist. So we almost ruined our own game trying to decipher clues that weren't even there.

Whoever writes these needs to be as clear and direct as possible. It's a method to convey anonymous info to everyone... not a game to make these headlines into cutsey riddles which might be misunderstood.

You do have to understand that I did amended the rules so that the journalist could not name players. Sure, the role is to find the mafia but I've always thought it ruins the game when the detective comes out and starts naming players. I cannot remember anytime where the mafia were able to recoup after that so you can pretty much call the game. Might as well make the rest of the town work for the win rather than rest on a single player. To be quite honest, I could not believe that people were reading so far in to the headlines. I thought Wycco was perfectly up front about him only finding innocents.

That's sort of beside the point right now. I don't know what the headlines tonight mean. I assume they have no investigations to go off of anyways.

I'm not putting any stock into the headlines yet. Unless they got the investigation results before they sent in headline, they would have no more insight on day 1 than anyone else. They way I read the rules that doesn't seem to be the case.

If wood was one, then we'll know tomorrow, so it's a moot point. One thing wood managed to do was kick up a bunch of dirt, it feels like day 1 again to me.

Huh? Isn't that the point of the game...to make connections? Is that not what you are trying to do between me and Dawg?

Regardless I don't see what is so hard to comprehend about what Dawg said. I mean, honestly, I even see what he was saying.

So which is it...lol...The only reason I said something was because JPap was making things up about me. The reason I didn't blow it out of proportion is because I have noticed JPap's skimming ways over the last several game so it seems like typical game play to me.

Okay, my job has been busy lately, so the only time I have to get on is when I get home. But here's some thoughts I've had in looking the thread over. I've been looking at rich quite a bit for reasons I hope will become clear.

Wow wood, making it three for Zaffy huh? That's interesting. I mean, there are ways to call less attention to yourself (like painting yourself pink and dancing the tango with a sheep on the White House lawn), but hey, go with it.

Now it starts to get interesting... Ogre points out Woody's now infamous third vote on Zaffy.

I vote to lynch Noods. I will change just seems like a day one thing to do.

The quick train could be of interest or just random fun, we shall see.

Rich's first post of any real content. Seems to me like he found a reason to post (the vote), and then added a subtle deflection from Woody's action.

So we have an early train, annie flashing by, and a no show. Lots of suspects for a first day.

This is really odd. I'm still happy with my vote on gun.

The thing on woodward is interesting, but it's just too early in the game to tell. Remember, it's a 50/50 shot of getting mafia with any lynch, so the lynchs won't tell us quite as much as they would in other games.

I agree that Wood is acting really strange. I just don't think it's a good idea to have everyone vote one person... we get even less information than we would otherwise in this game.

This is a side note, but Ogre, can you explain why we get less info from lynchings? I don't get what you're saying.

That stinks. No way to play if I have a say in the matter.

I retract my vote on Noods and vote to lynch Annie.

I am not a big fan of hit and run votes.

The drama builds after Woody comes clean. Rich starts to distance himself. Again, very subtle.

I would also like to know why he pulled my name (as well as Rich's) out his.....the air? This is only his second game and I did not play with him last game...in fact I have not played in the last 2-3 games, so why me? Who told him to make me suspect? I had done nothing prior to his statement to make me stand out (IMO). Just makes me even more uncomfortable.

Contrast Noods'sssss response to rich's. This actually has me leaning noods a little innocent.

I guess this is a dramatic way to say that rich seems to be really laying low. He's posting just enough to try and have a subtle influence without really committing or contributing to anything. Certainly not the town. He's distracting people from something that turned out to be right on, and totally downplaying stuff that anyone else would at least react to. Just seems scummy to me.

So, for un-townsmanly conduct, I vote to lynch rich311k.
