ok now i need help

Any suggestions on getting the anemone off the rock?
P lease , if i could get it off the rock i could give it some temp relief in a bowl of water .
thanks

I've heard that holding it in front of a powerhead might work.

maybe instead of holding UP the rock, you could hold the Phead in front of the rock. :) Or to the side. hehehe

for some reason my anemone's prefer to sit infront of the return pipe and get absolutely blasted by the return... the tank has over 20x flow, but they still all bundle up around the one return pipe. So I am not sure that would work.

When I have needed to move mine they've usually been in the process of moving themselves and not been latched on too tight. Maybe try blocking off it's light somehow, forcing it to move to get light, thereby giving you the oppertunity to catch in transition?

yesterday i saw it moving and tryied that and the bugger wouldnt let me get him lol
But in order to save him he has go to give ,i see him now looking like he is going to move ,so i will watch him as late as i can .
yes ill cut the lights tomorrow see if that helps .
Thanks

Well i have just been with the anemone for 2.5 hours ,rubbing it and blowing it with the dropper and they are just flying off all over the place ,i have almost cleared the outside and around the mouth looks clear , it is so much harder when they tighten up ,we lost a few arms but a lot are actually eaten by these spiders .
This i didnt want to do but i have to act in some way .
Im just giving it a break with lights out so the spiders think im gone lol
looks like i will leave the tank empty for 6 to 8 weeks .
Kinda sucks but i think i made the right decision rather then doing the FW dips and then them not working .
Hubby got the brittle star out and in the QT ,im so proud of him , we were are so scared to death of that thing it was funny .
while watching the BS in the QT i noticed a flat blk and wht catipiller looking thing come out of its mouth and walk around the legs , i promptly removed it .but cant find any info on this .

Sounds totally awful. I hope that you can find a natural predator to put in the tank when you get it back up and running in case a few little suckers sneak back in.

LOL im so determined that none will survive ,i have done some experimenting with them in containers and boiling water seems to be the answer .
Guess i will even boil the sand .
Seems FW doesnt do much to them they been living in a container for 3 days now .
OK the anemone looked dead when i finished wee hours in am , but when i woke i saw we could get it and hubby grabbed him for me ,as no way im ready to get at him some more tonight .
But to try and avoid these spiders getting in the QT (im guessing they are there with the sand) im putting him in a mesh box just above the waterline .
After the stuff i did to him he looks better ,but we have a long way to go !

Wow, when you're done with this, you totally need to write an article about the experience and about the spiders and how to get rid of them. You're going to be an expert by the time this is over!
