Hey everyone, havent posted on here in a while. Hope everyone has been well. Im working on helping a friend of mine set up a 55 gal tank (her 150 wouldnt stop leaking so she had to break it down and sell off the fish). I would love to use Color Quartz S grade in her tank, since I used it in...
Yeah, Im making a list and will collect some pictures and care sheets for when they return, so that way she can look through and see if anything in particular catches her eye. =]
Hello everyone. Its been a while since I have even been on this site (busy busy summer) and it is nice to be back. This question goes for a house that I am petsitting. My friend has a 250 gal (i believe) tank that currently houses two decent sized Oscars. My friend wants some bottom dwellers...
I think I will be contacting the my professors about that in that case. We can do an NMR on some solution in that case to find the configuration of the molecule.
I was wondering if anyone here uses a chemical for DIY Fluorish Excel. I have heard about it but cannot find much information on it. So any knowledge on the topic (ie articles, personal experiences, webpages, threads, opinions) would be very beneficial! Thanks!
Haha I got really excited initially too, now I have like 100 babies in my 55. I dont mind it though, just have to start throwing snello in their now too

I agree with the 8-10 hours a day. Get a timer, worth every penny. Also if you wanna fight algae I would suggest dosing excel, although with that size of a tank I do not know how cost effective that would be....jealous of your 210 that is almost 4 times the size of my "big" tank lol
Will adult sized fish eat the microworms or are they a fry only food? I started culturing fruit flies for my fish and they (the smart fish that is) love them.
Ive been working on my 55 gal planted tank lately and wanted to put up some pictures I have from the journey. I will keep posting pictures up on here as I go.
This is how it looked, it was overgrown with plants and the sword was a mass of like ten swords.
more of the sword
This is with...
Thats how I am. I love the idea of being able to grow fish food right in my fish tank. My problem is I worry it really wouldnt work like it should, or it would lead to a problem with the tank.
Let me know how it goes id be interested in hearing what the results are.
